Nite Ize Magnetic Phone Socket — Dashboard Mount, Neodymium Magnet & 3M Adhesive for Secure Hands-Free Use

This Nite Ize Steelie Magnetic Phone Socket provides a small, durable attachment that pairs with Steelie magnetic mounts—dash, vent, windshield, tabletop, wall, and more—to keep phones accessible and stable. It uses a powerful neodymium magnet with a silicone-centered design and strong 3M VHB adhesive for long-lasting placement, plus a cleaning pad for proper surface prep. The socket is built for everyday use and can be removed without damaging most surfaces when you decide to relocate or replace it.

How does the Steelie Magnetic Phone Socket keep my phone secure while driving?

The socket's neodymium magnet and silicone center create a firm connection with Steelie mounts, minimizing wobble and rotation during commutes. The magnetic attraction balances strength with repositioning capability so you can adjust viewing angles without detaching the phone entirely.

• High-strength neodymium magnet for steady holds on bumpy roads
• Silicone center reduces slipping and improves grip on cases
• Works with all Steelie mounts for consistent mounting options
• Adjustable viewing when paired with articulating Steelie mounts

Will the adhesive damage my phone or dashboard when removed?

Nite Ize uses 3M VHB adhesive chosen for a strong bond that also allows clean removal from many surfaces. Proper surface cleaning with the included pad helps ensure adhesion and lowers the chance of residue when the socket is taken off.

• Includes a cleaning pad to prep the mounting surface
• 3M VHB designed for strong yet removable adhesion
• Follow manufacturer removal steps to avoid residue on delicate finishes

Is this magnetic socket compatible with my phone or case?

The Steelie Magnetic Phone Socket works with most phones and cases by adhering to the device or case back and connecting to Steelie mounts. Extremely thick or metal-backed cases may reduce magnetic attraction; in those cases, consider thinner cases or placing the socket on a case area that provides closer contact.

• Universal fit for smartphones and many cases
• May require placement adjustments for thick or metal cases
• Designed to pair with Steelie-series mounts for best performance

Are there safety considerations I should know about?

The magnetic element in the Steelie socket is powerful but safe for mobile devices; however, magnets can affect magnetically sensitive items. Keep the socket away from credit cards, pacemakers, and hard drives to avoid potential interference or damage.

• Strong neodymium magnet—avoid contact with magnetically sensitive items
• Keep clear of credit cards, medical implants, and magnetic storage
• Not a protective case; continue to use appropriate device protection

Who this is for: Drivers, commuters, and anyone who wants an unobtrusive, reliable way to mount a phone in cars, on desks, or around the home. It’s well suited to households with multiple devices that share Steelie mounts, professionals who need hands-free access while working, and anyone who prefers a slim mounting solution that tucks onto a device or case.
