Bring natural, farm-grown nutrition to your backyard feeders with Old Potters in-shell peanuts. Sourced from small American farms and left in their shells, these peanuts offer a simple, engaging food source that encourages natural foraging behavior in squirrels and other wildlife. The non-GMO guarantee and raw format make them a straightforward choice for people who want to support local agriculture while offering wholesome treats for outdoor animals.

Why choose in-shell peanuts for backyard wildlife?

In-shell peanuts create a more interactive feeding experience than shelled nuts. Animals must work to get the kernels, which stimulates natural behaviors, reduces rapid overeating, and provides enrichment. The shells also reduce mess and slow consumption compared with loose shelled nuts.

• Encourages foraging and problem-solving in squirrels and wild birds
• Shells help animals pace their eating and provide chewing activity
• Less scattered nut debris than loose kernels

How are these peanuts grown and processed?

Old Potters sources these peanuts from small farms in the United States to support local growers and maintain traceability. The peanuts are non-GMO and delivered raw in their natural shells without added processing, coatings, or flavorings. That straightforward handling preserves the nut’s natural aroma and texture for wildlife.

• Grown on small farms across the USA for local sourcing
• Non-GMO seeds planted and harvested using conventional farming methods
• Sold raw and unflavored to keep feeding simple and natural

How should I offer these peanuts to animals safely?

In-shell peanuts are versatile and easy to use at feeders, on platforms, in stump feeders, or simply scattered near cover. Keep feeding areas clean and dry to prevent spoilage, and avoid overfeeding by rotating peanuts with other food types. Monitor wildlife activity and remove any peanuts that show mold or damage.

• Place on squirrel-friendly feeders, tray platforms, or tree stumps
• Store the bag in a cool, dry place to maintain freshness
• Discard any peanuts that appear moldy or unusually soft

Will these peanuts attract a variety of wildlife?

Yes. While squirrels are particularly fond of in-shell peanuts, other animals such as certain ground-feeding birds and small mammals may also take interest. The size and accessibility of the peanuts make them broadly appealing in backyard and garden settings without being overly concentrated for any single species.

• Frequently draws Eastern and Fox squirrels, plus chipmunks
• Occasionally visited by jays, crows, and other opportunistic birds
• Works well in mixed feeding stations to diversify backyard visitors
