OnBeam Solar Bug Zapper — 4500V Mosquito Zapper for Patio, Solar+USB, 4,000mAh Battery, IPX5

The OnBeam Solar Bug Zapper Outdoor is a weatherproof, solar+USB powered insect trap that lures and eliminates flying pests with dual UV LEDs and a 4,500V shock grid for continuous patio protection.

Keep outdoor gatherings, yards, and entryways free from mosquitoes, gnats, moths, flies and wasps using a compact unit designed for flexible placement and low running cost. OnBeam pairs two 365–395 nm LED attractors with a high-voltage grid and a rechargeable 4,000 mAh battery, so it operates from daylight-charged solar energy or a USB lift. Built for durability and safe family use, the unit includes multiple mounting options and is IPX5 water-resistant for year-round use.

How does the zapper attract and kill insects?

The lamp uses two high-efficiency UV LEDs tuned to 365–395 nm to draw flying insects toward the inner electric grid. When insects touch the grid they receive a 4,500V shock that stops them instantly, while the surrounding protective mesh reduces accidental contact.

• Two UV bulbs optimized for insect attraction
• Powerful 4,500V shock grid for immediate elimination
• Protective ABS housing and mesh for child and pet safety
• Washable grid and included brush for simple cleanup

What power and charging options are available for the OnBeam zapper?

OnBeam gives you both solar and wired charging: a 10W monocrystalline solar panel quickly tops up the internal 4,000 mAh battery in daylight, while a USB-C cable provides fast recharging in 3–4 hours. A full charge can provide up to about 12 hours of runtime depending on usage and environmental factors.

• 10W 5V solar panel for eco-friendly daytime charging
• 4000 mAh internal battery for extended night operation
• Included 4 ft USB-C cable for quick wired charging
• Up to ~12 hours continuous use on a full charge

How do I install and operate the unit for different outdoor spaces?

Installation is flexible: hang it with the supplied chain, stake it into soil using the ground stakes, or place it on a flat surface. An AUTO mode charges by day and turns the lamp on at dusk; ON mode keeps the grid active continuously for 24/7 protection.

• Supplied 2.6 ft hanging chain for overhead placement
• Two ground stakes for yard or garden mounting
• 10 ft solar panel extension cable to position panel in sun
• AUTO and ON modes for automated or continuous operation

Is the zapper weatherproof and safe around family and pets?

The housing combines aluminum framing with an ABS outer shell and protective mesh, and it carries an IPX5 rating for rain resistance. Because it relies on physical electric control rather than sprays or chemicals, it avoids residual odors and minimizes exposure to pesticides.

• IPX5 splash resistance for outdoor durability
• Protective mesh prevents accidental contact with the grid
• No chemical sprays — physical trapping and zapping only
• Washable components and included brush for hygiene

Who is this for: The OnBeam Solar Bug Zapper Outdoor suits homeowners, campers, RV travelers, and anyone who wants a low-maintenance, portable method of reducing flying insects in yards, patios, decks, and outdoor living spaces. It’s a good match for people who prefer solar energy, need flexible mounting options, and want a child- and pet-conscious alternative to chemical repellents.
