Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Whey Protein Powder Vanilla Ice Cream 2.27 kg — 24g Protein, Fast-Mixing Isolate Blend

Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Whey is a fast-mixing whey protein powder delivering 24 g of all-whey protein and naturally occurring BCAAs per scoop, designed to support recovery and daily protein needs.

This 5-pound tub of Vanilla Ice Cream-flavored Gold Standard 100% Whey uses whey protein isolate as the primary ingredient, blended with ultra-filtered whey protein concentrate for a balanced amino acid profile. Each serving supplies 24 grams of protein and about 5.5 grams of naturally occurring branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs). The powder is instantized for smooth mixing and works well with water, milk, or in smoothies, offering a reliable, everyday protein option for athletes and active people.

How does this whey protein support post-workout recovery?

Whey protein is absorbed quickly, delivering amino acids to muscles soon after consumption to help replenish what intense training uses up. Gold Standard's formula emphasizes whey protein isolates to reduce extra carbs and fats, helping you prioritize protein intake for recovery and muscle repair.

• 24 g of protein per scoop for rapid amino acid delivery
• Approximately 5.5 g naturally occurring BCAAs per serving
• Whey protein isolate as primary ingredient for a higher protein-to-carb ratio
• Instantized powder mixes rapidly in cold liquids

What is the flavor and how does it mix into shakes or recipes?

The Vanilla Ice Cream flavor is crafted to be creamy and versatile, blending smoothly into water, milk or plant-based beverages. Because the powder is instantized, it dissolves quickly with minimal clumping, making it suitable for quick shakes or when stirred into oatmeal and smoothies for extra protein.

• Vanilla Ice Cream flavor designed for a creamy, mild sweetness
• Works in water for a low-calorie shake or milk for added creaminess
• Good for blending into smoothies, yogurt, or baked recipes
• Instantized texture minimizes clumps for fast preparation

How much should I take and when is the best time?

A standard serving is one scoop mixed in 6–8 fluid ounces of liquid; adjust liquid amount for thicker or thinner shakes. Many people take a shake within 30–60 minutes after training to support recovery, though it also fits as a high-protein snack any time of day to help meet total daily protein goals.

• Mix 1 scoop per 6–8 fl oz of cold liquid
• Recommended timing: 30–60 minutes post-workout or anytime for extra protein
• Can be used to boost protein in meals or snacks throughout the day
• Adjust serving frequency based on daily protein targets and activity level

The brand has a long industry history and a wide flavor selection, making this powder a familiar, research-backed choice for consumers seeking a reliable daily protein source.

• Primary ingredient: whey protein isolate for higher purity
