OXO Good Grips Salad Spinner — 5.89 L Lettuce Spinner with One-Hand Pump & Brake, Dishwasher-Safe

The OXO Good Grips Salad Spinner is a one-handed pump-operated salad dryer and colander that quickly cleans and removes excess water from lettuce, herbs, and fruit for crisper salads and faster meal prep.

Designed as a modern update to OXO’s original one-touch spinner, this 6.22-quart model uses a soft, non-slip pump to spin a removable basket, shedding water fast while staying steady on the countertop. The bowl and basket separate for rinsing and serving, the lid disassembles for easy cleaning, and a patented brake stops the basket instantly so you can unload without drips. All parts are dishwasher-safe, and the pump locks down for compact storage.

How does this spinner speed up salad and produce prep?

The spinner uses centrifugal force from a simple push-pump to remove water far faster than air-drying or towel-dabbing. Dry greens mean dressings stick better and leaves don’t become soggy, plus rinsed produce can be prepped ahead and stored in the fridge.

• One-handed soft, non-slip pump starts the spin in a single press.
• High-capacity bowl holds 6.22 quarts; basket capacity 4.4 quarts for large heads of lettuce.
• Brake button instantly stops the basket for safe, quick unloading.
• Bowl and basket separate to rinse, serve, or store pre-washed greens.

Is the OXO spinner easy to clean and store?

Yes — the lid comes apart so trapped moisture and food particles are simple to remove, and every component is dishwasher safe for convenient cleanup. After use the pump locks down to sit flush with the lid, reducing height and making the spinner easier to tuck into a cabinet.

• Lid disassembles for thorough hand or dishwasher cleaning (top rack recommended).
• Pump locks into the lid for compact, upright storage.
• Non-slip bowl base keeps the spinner stable during use, avoiding messes.

What else can I use it for besides lettuce?

The basket doubles as a colander, so the spinner is useful for rinsing and draining berries, herbs, beans, and other small produce. It also serves as a temporary storage container for pre-washed greens in the refrigerator, or as a serving bowl for salads and fruit.

• Wash and dry herbs, baby spinach, kale, and berries without crushing them.
• Use the basket alone as a colander or the bowl alone as a serving/holding bowl.
• Prep a batch of greens in advance and store them crisp in the fridge.

How durable and well-designed is this model for everyday use?

OXO engineered this spinner with ergonomics and longevity in mind: the pump’s soft grip reduces hand strain while embedded fins help control pressure, and the non-skid base prevents sliding during operation. Materials are robust and dishwasher-safe so the spinner stands up to frequent kitchen use.

• Soft Good Grips pump uses Santoprene-style material for comfortable pressing.
• Patented brake provides instant stopping power and safer unloading.
• Dishwasher-safe components simplify maintenance for busy households.

Who is this for: home cooks who want faster, cleaner salad and produce prep — from busy families and meal preppers to entertainers who need large batches of crisp greens. It’s well suited for anyone seeking a durable, easy-to-use kitchen tool that doubles as a colander and serving bowl, and for those who prefer a compact spinner that stores neatly when not in use.
