OXO Good Grips StrongHold Suction Sponge Holder — Stainless-Steel Sink Mount, Lever-Lock Suction & Ventilated Tray

Designed for busy kitchens, this compact holder uses a phthalate-free suction base with a push-lever lock so it stays put during dish duty yet detaches easily when you need more sink space. The ventilated tray encourages faster air circulation to reduce lingering moisture, and the removable design makes rinsing or loading large pots and pans easier. Dishwasher-safe components simplify cleaning and maintenance.

How does the StrongHold suction keep the holder stable?

The holder locks to smooth, non-porous sink surfaces using a lever that creates a strong vacuum seal. This system resists sideways movement and stays attached during scrubbing and rinsing, so your sponge won’t tip or fall into the sink.

• Lever-activated suction for a secure hold
• Phthalate-free suction pad for safer contact with dishware
• Best performance on stainless steel and other smooth sinks

Will the design help my sponge dry faster and stay cleaner?

Yes. The holder’s open, ventilated tray promotes air flow around sponges and brushes to speed drying and reduce trapped moisture. Less moisture lowers the chance of unpleasant odors and helps keep cleaning tools ready for the next use.

• Drainage slots channel water away from the sponge
• Elevated tray prevents pooling under sponges
• Quick-dry layout works for sponges, scrubbers, and brushes

Can I remove the holder when I need more sink space?

The holder detaches from its suction base so you can temporarily clear the sink when washing oversized pots or baking sheets. The removable tray snaps back onto the base after you’re done, offering flexible storage without permanent installation.

• Holder lifts off the suction base for extra space
• Reattaches quickly with the lever lock
• Dishwasher-safe parts for effortless cleaning

Are there any sink types to avoid using it on?

For strongest adhesion, mount the suction base on smooth, non-textured surfaces such as stainless steel. It’s not recommended for textured or porous materials where the vacuum can’t form reliably, including some stone, acrylic, or textured metal sinks.

• Ideal for stainless steel and smooth metal sinks
• Not recommended for textured, porous, or rough surfaces
• Clean and dry the surface before installing for best results
