PetArmor Flea and Tick Collar for Large Dogs — 8 Months Water-Resistant, Odourless Protection

PetArmor Extend Large Dog Collar delivers up to eight months of continuous, water-resistant flea and tick control for dogs over 18 lbs.

Keep your dog comfortable and protected with a collar that releases proven active ingredients over time to kill and repel fleas, ticks, lice, and flea larvae without requiring a prescription. The odorless, non-greasy formula begins working within 24 hours and maintains season-long defense even after swims or rainy days. It uses sustained-release imidacloprid and flumethrin—the same actives trusted by veterinarians—to interrupt pest life cycles and reduce reinfestation.

How quickly does the collar start protecting my dog?

Protection begins within the first 24 hours. Fleas on your pet are killed within approximately two hours, while newly encountered ticks are controlled within about 48 hours. The collar then continues to release active ingredients steadily for up to eight months.

• Initial action: begins at 24 hours
• Flea kill time: roughly 2 hours for new fleas
• Tick activity: protection established by about 48 hours
• Effective duration: up to 8 months of continuous release

Will it stay effective if my dog gets wet or swims?

Yes—this collar is formulated to be water-resistant so it continues working after exposure to water. While heavy, frequent soaking is best avoided, normal bathing and swimming won’t immediately negate protection, and the sustained-release mechanism rebalances active ingredients over time.

• Water-resistant design retains efficacy after bathing
• No greasy residue that attracts dirt after wetting
• Active ingredients redistribute across coat following contact with water
• Still recommended to dry collar and inspect regularly after heavy water exposure

How does this collar stop infestations and protect the home?

The collar works by killing fleas, ticks, lice, and flea larvae on contact, which prevents pests from biting your dog and interrupts the flea life cycle. By reducing larvae and newly hatched fleas, it lowers the chance of indoor or yard reinfestation when used consistently.

• Targets adult fleas and larvae to break the life cycle
• Kills pests through contact—biting is not required
• Continuous release reduces need for repeated spot treatments
• Helps limit household pest pressure when combined with good hygiene

Is the collar safe and easy to use for large dogs?

The PetArmor Extend collar is labeled for dogs over 18 pounds and for puppies seven weeks or older. It is odorless and non-greasy for comfortable everyday wear, and it requires no prescription or veterinary visit to purchase and apply.

• Formulated for dogs above 18 lbs and puppies 7+ weeks
• Odorless, non-greasy finish for minimal skin or coat residue
• No prescription needed—apply at home following package directions
• Replace after eight months for continuous season-to-season coverage
