Pukamam Zirconia Flap Discs 4½" Angle Grinder 24-Pack (40/60/80/120 Grit) — Durable Metal Grinding & Finishing

Pukamam 24 Pack Zirconia Flap Discs are a complete set of 4½-inch grinding and sanding wheels—six discs each in 40, 60, 80 and 120 grit—designed for durable material removal and consistent finishing with most angle grinders.

These flap discs pair zirconium-oxide abrasive flaps with a standard 7/8" arbor to deliver aggressive stock removal on metal and steel while also offering progressively finer grits for blending and finishing. The set includes 24 discs (six of each grit) so you can move from coarse grinding to smooth finishing without changing brands or disc systems. They fit angle grinders rated up to 13,300 RPM; always follow safety guidelines such as eye protection and secure workholding when using abrasive discs.

How do these flap discs perform across different grits?

The four grits in this kit let you handle rough shaping through final blending. 40-grit removes material quickly and opens welds; 60- and 80-grit balance cut rate with surface refinement; 120-grit is for light sanding and pre-paint preparation. Using the grits progressively prevents overheating and reduces the number of passes needed.

• 40 grit: fast stock removal and weld clean-up
• 60 grit: smoothing edges after heavy grinding
• 80 grit: preparing surfaces for finishing
• 120 grit: final blend and light polishing prior to coating

Will these discs work with my angle grinder and common materials?

Yes—each disc measures 4½ inches with a 7/8" arbor hole, a common size compatible with many consumer and professional angle grinders. The zirconia-oxide abrasive excels on carbon steel, stainless steel, and other ferrous metals, while still handling some light alloy and fabricated surfaces. Check your grinder's maximum RPM; these discs are rated for up to 13,300 RPM.

• Size: 4½" diameter, 7/8" arbor fits standard grinders
• RPM: compatible up to 13,300 RPM—verify grinder rating
• Materials: optimized for steel and metalwork, usable on some alloys

How should I use and care for these zirconia flap discs safely?

Use steady, even pressure and keep the disc moving to avoid gouging or overheating the workpiece. Wear goggles and other protective equipment; the manufacturer recommends safety gear for all grinding operations. Store discs flat in a dry place and inspect each disc for damage before mounting.

• Use consistent, light-to-moderate pressure; avoid forcing the disc
• Wear safety glasses, gloves, and appropriate clothing
• Store flat, dry, and inspect for cracks or irregularities before use

What types of projects benefit most from this 24-disc kit?

This set suits workshops and job sites that move between heavy stock removal and fine finishing—metal fabrication, auto body prep, and maintenance tasks. The range of grits eliminates the need to rebuy different brands for each stage of a job, making it convenient for both professionals and serious DIYers. Because the pack contains multiple discs of each grit, it's practical for repeated or multi-operator use.

• Metal fabrication and weld cleanup
• Automotive bodywork and paint prep
• General maintenance, restoration, and finishing tasks
