PUR Tap-Mount Water Filter Replacement — 6-Pack Mineral Core, IAPMO/NSF Certified 18-Month Supply

PUR Plus Mineral Core Faucet Replacement is a 6-pack of certified faucet-mount filters that deliver up to 100 gallons each (about three months) of filtered tap water with added mineral taste.

Even clear-looking tap water can contain dissolved contaminants from plumbing, service lines, or local water sources. The PUR Plus Mineral Core replacement filter is engineered for use with all PUR faucet-mount systems and uses a multilayer, mineral-enhanced filtration media to reduce a broad set of chemical and physical substances while improving flavor. This 6-pack supplies roughly 18 months of replacements for uninterrupted on-demand filtered water at the sink.

How does the PUR Plus filter improve everyday tap water?

The filter combines a 14-layer construction and expanded surface area to trap particulates and reduce common chemical contaminants. Mineral core technology reintroduces small, natural minerals that contribute to a crisp, pleasant taste without altering basic water chemistry.

• Reduces up to 70 chemical and physical substances including lead, chlorine, PFAS, VOCs, and microplastics
• 14-layer media and larger surface area for finer particle capture
• Mineral core adds a clean, refreshing flavor profile
• Each cartridge rated for ~100 gallons or about three months of typical household use

Are these filters certified and how do they compare to off-brand alternatives?

PUR Plus filters carry recognized third-party certifications (IAPMO/NSF/WQA) for reduction of many contaminants when installed in PUR systems. Off-brand cartridges may fit mechanically but typically lack equivalent testing and certification, so they cannot guarantee the same contaminant reductions.

• IAPMO/NSF/WQA certification for multiple contaminant reductions
• PUR-tested performance versus leading pitcher filters in independent comparisons
• Genuine PUR filters validated for use with PUR faucet systems only
• Warnings against untested replacement cartridges that are not certified

How simple is installation and what maintenance schedule should I follow?

Installation is designed to be quick and tool-free: pull the tab, insert the cartridge into the faucet mount, and follow basic flushing instructions. Replace each cartridge after about 100 gallons of use or every three months to maintain filtration performance and flow.

• Tool-free twist/pull installation compatible with all PUR faucet mounts
• Flush new cartridge briefly before first use as instructed
• Replace every ~100 gallons or roughly every three months
• Store spare cartridges dry and away from direct sunlight

What contaminants does the PUR Plus filter help reduce and what does it not remove?

The PUR Plus filter is tested to reduce a wide range of chemical and physical contaminants such as lead, PFAS, chlorine, VOCs, mercury, and many particulates. Like most countertop and faucet-mount filters, it is not certified to remove microbes (bacteria, viruses) and is not intended as a disinfecting device.

• Certified reductions: lead, PFAS, chlorine, VOCs, microplastics, mercury
• Not certified to remove or inactivate microbes (bacteria, viruses)
• Designed for daily drinking, cooking, and beverage preparation
• Follow local advisories when microbial contamination is suspected

Who is this for: Households and renters seeking an easy, certified way to improve the taste and reduce many common chemical and particulate contaminants at the kitchen sink. This 6-pack is practical for families or households that prefer on-demand filtered water without installing an under-sink system, and for anyone who wants the assurance of third-party tested, brand-certified replacement cartridges over off-brand alternatives.
