Rain Bird 4-Inch Pop-Up Sprinkler Head 1804VAN with 0–360° Variable Arc Nozzle, UV-Resistant

The Rain Bird 1804VAN combines a compact 4-inch pop-up profile with a variable arc nozzle to deliver controlled, even watering for lawns, garden beds and landscaped edges. Built with UV-resistant materials, a stainless-steel spring and a pressure-activated wiper seal, this head is made for long-term performance and minimal maintenance. It integrates smoothly into Rain Bird systems and helps minimize overspray in tight areas.

How does the variable arc nozzle improve coverage?

The adjustable 0–360° variable arc lets you set the spray to match the shape of the zone—corner, side strip, or full-circle turf—without changing nozzles. The textured collar provides tool-free grip so you can fine-tune coverage quickly on-site.

• Variable arc adjustment from 0 to 360 degrees for tailored coverage
• Textured adjustment collar for easy, tool-free setting
• Helps prevent overspray onto paths, driveways and non-target areas

What performance can I expect for distance and precipitation?

The 1804VAN delivers reliable spray up to about 15 feet and is engineered for matched precipitation to promote even watering across a zone. Consistent droplet size and spray distance help reduce dry spots and pooling when paired with correct system design.

• Spray radius up to approximately 15 feet for small to medium zones
• Matched precipitation design for uniform watering
• Works well in paired-head layouts for even coverage

How does this head stand up to weather and wear?

The body uses UV- and weather-resistant materials to resist cracking, while a stainless-steel spring ensures dependable pop-up and retraction. A Rain Bird patented pressure-activated wiper seal reduces leakage and keeps the riser clean, extending operational life with less maintenance.

• UV-resistant construction for sun-exposed installations
• Heavy-duty stainless-steel spring for consistent retraction
• Pressure-activated wiper seal to prevent leaks and debris intrusion

How easy is installation and compatibility with existing systems?

This model features a 1/2-inch female threaded inlet for straightforward connection to standard lateral polyethylene or PVC piping. Its compact 4-inch pop-up height makes it suitable for lawns and planted beds where a low profile is desirable.

• 1/2" female threaded inlet for common retrofit or new installs
• 4" pop-up height keeps the head subtle in turf and beds
• Compatible with Rain Bird nozzles and system components for seamless integration
