Regalo Extra Wide Baby Gate 28-42 in Adjustable Pressure-Mount Walk-Through Gate, 23 in High

The Regalo Safety 28"–42" Extra Wide Baby Gate is an adjustable, pressure-mounted walk-through gate designed to create a secure boundary at doorways and the bottom of stairs for babies and small to medium pets.

Built by a family-owned U.S. brand with more than 30 years of child safety experience, this gate combines a wide span, a simple pressure-mount installation, and a one-handed locking walk-through door so adults can move freely while little ones stay contained. Certified by the Baby Safety Alliance and engineered with user convenience in mind, the gate fits openings from 28 to 42 inches and stands 23 inches tall. It’s intended for bottom-of-stair use, hallways, and doorways where a broader gate is needed.

How does the adjustable width help in different rooms?

The gate’s 28–42 inch range removes the need for multiple models or additional panels in most doorways and wider openings. You can expand or compress the frame to match common household openings and create a snug fit without permanent modifications.

• Adjusts to standard doorways, hallways, and wide entrances
• Pressure-mount system lets you change placement quickly
• Wall cups included for stable anchoring per instructions
• No drilling required when used as instructed

Is this gate safe for stairs and how should it be used there?

Regalo specifies this gate for use at the bottom of stairs only; it is not designed for top-of-stair installations. When installed at the base of stairs and secured with the provided wall cups, it helps prevent toddlers and pets from accessing stairways unsupervised.

• Use only at the bottom of staircases, never at the top
• Follow manufacturer instructions and use wall cups for stability
• Gate height (23") and solid frame reduce crawl-through risk
• Suitable for children roughly 6–24 months and small to medium pets

How easy is setup and daily use for busy parents?

The gate uses a pressure-mount design that keeps installation straightforward: position, tighten, and add wall cups for added security. The walk-through door features a secure latch that adults can operate quickly, letting you pass through with groceries or a baby carrier while keeping the gate childproof.

• Simple pressure-mount attachment for fast setup
• Secure safety locking system on the walk-through door
• One-handed opening for convenience when carrying items
• Lightweight enough to move room-to-room as needed

• Durable metal frame built for repeated use
• Certified by the Baby Safety Alliance for child safety standards
• Designed and supported by an American family-owned brand
• Intended to support both childproofing and pet containment needs

Who is this for: The Regalo 28"–42" Extra Wide Baby Gate is aimed at parents and caregivers who need a reliable, wide-span barrier for doorways, hallways, and the bottom of stairs—especially in homes with wider openings or where a pressure-mounted, easy-access walk-through gate is preferred. It’s also suitable for households with small to medium pets that need containment. Remember to follow all installation instructions and never use this model at the top of stairs.
