RESCUE! Yellowjacket Trap 2-Pack — Reusable Plastic Traps with Long-Lasting Attractant for Outdoor Use

RESCUE! Reusable Yellowjacket Trap is a two-pack of durable plastic traps that lure and capture yellowjackets using a long-lasting attractant, allowing for seasonal reuse.

Keep patios, picnic areas, and outdoor work zones more comfortable with a targeted yellowjacket control tool that’s built for repeated use. Each trap uses a formulated lure that draws in multiple North American yellowjacket species through bottom openings; once inside, the insects cannot escape and eventually die. The traps are designed to avoid attracting honeybees, and the sturdy construction is made in the USA for season-after-season performance.

How does the trap capture yellowjackets?

The trap combines an enticing scent with a one-way entry design: yellowjackets are drawn by the attractant and enter through the bottom holes, unable to find their way back out. Dehydration inside the sealed chamber is the primary way insects are neutralized, eliminating the need for sprays or toxic sprays around living spaces.

• One-way bottom openings guide insects into the container.
• Specially formulated attractant mimics food sources yellowjackets seek.
• Sealed collection area prevents escape and reduces exposure to chemicals.

Will this trap affect honeybees or other beneficial insects?

The RESCUE! design focuses on yellowjackets and is formulated to minimize attraction of honeybees, protecting pollinators while addressing stinging pest problems. It is not intended to capture wasps or hornets; the attractant targets roughly a dozen yellowjacket species common in North America.

• Attractant composition reduces appeal to honeybees.
• Engineered specifically for yellowjackets, not hornets or paper wasps.
• Placement guidance helps avoid pollinator flight paths near hives.

How long does the attractant last and is the trap reusable?

The included attractant is formulated to remain effective for weeks without daily upkeep, and the trap’s durable plastic body is built for multiple seasons. When the lure is spent, replacement attractant packs are available separately so you can refresh the trap without buying a new unit.

• Attractant longevity measured in weeks per fill under typical conditions.
• Sturdy construction withstands outdoor weather and repeated use.
• Refill attractants sold separately for economical seasonal maintenance.

Where should I place these traps for best results?

Position traps a measurable distance from high-traffic areas—around 10–20 feet away from patios or doors—to lure yellowjackets away from people. Hang them at eye level or slightly higher, in partial shade if possible, and replace or clean traps at season’s end to prepare for the following year.

• Place traps 10–20 feet away from outdoor living spaces to draw insects away.
• Hang at eye height or higher, sheltered from direct midday sun.
• Empty and store traps after the season for longevity and hygiene.

Who is this for? This two-pack of RESCUE! Reusable Yellowjacket Traps suits homeowners, rental property managers, landscapers, and event hosts who need a low-maintenance, targeted approach to reduce yellowjacket encounters outdoors. If you want a non-spray option that won’t attract honeybees and can be reused season after season, these traps offer a practical solution for controlling nuisance yellowjackets around outdoor living and working spaces.
