Safety 1st Grand 2-in-1 Booster Car Seat — Old Soul, Converts 5-Point Harness to Belt-Positioning, Slim Lightweight

The Safety 1st Grand 2-in-1 Booster Car Seat converts from a forward-facing harness high-back booster to a belt-positioning high-back booster so one seat supports kids from about 40 to 100 pounds.

This convertible booster is built to follow your child through multiple stages of growth while staying lightweight enough to move between vehicles. It combines a 5-point harness mode for younger riders with a belt-positioning high-back mode for older children, a slim profile designed to fit three across in many back seats, and fabrics and components that are easy to maintain.

How does the seat adapt as my child grows?

The Grand 2-in-1 changes configuration to match your child's height and weight. Start with the forward-facing harness for smaller children, then switch to the belt-positioning mode when they're ready to use the vehicle belt system. An adjustable headrest helps keep the belt aligned and comfortable through the transition.

• Harness mode: supports approximately 40–65 lbs and forward-facing positioning.
• Belt-positioning mode: supports approximately 40–100 lbs for older kids.
• Adjustable headrest with multiple height settings to maintain proper fit.

Will this booster fit in a smaller car or fit three across?

The seat is purposely slimmed down to maximize seating capacity in the back row. Its compact shell makes it suitable for vehicles with tighter interiors and can allow three booster seats to be installed side-by-side in many cars, SUVs, and minivans. Still, measurement and trial installation are recommended for your specific vehicle.

• Slim-profile design to help create more elbow room for adjacent seats.
• Lightweight construction for easy installation and transfer between cars.
• Check vehicle manual and measure seat width before attempting three-across installation.

How simple is care and everyday use?

The Grand prioritizes low-maintenance materials and user-friendly details. The seat pad detaches for machine washing and drying, and the two cup holders pop out and are safe for the dishwasher. Together, these features reduce the time spent cleaning after snacks, spills, and daily use.

• Removable seat pad that is machine-washable and dryer-safe.
• Two dishwasher-safe, removable cup holders for drinks or small items.
• Quick-release features and lightweight weight make swapping cars straightforward.

What comfort and support features does it offer?

Comfort is addressed through soft, cushioned fabric and a height-adjustable headrest that grows with your child. Padding is shaped to support upright posture on longer drives, while breathable materials help reduce heat buildup. The harness offers secure restraint in the forward-facing configuration without sacrificing comfort.

• Plush fabric cover for a softer ride and improved comfort.
• Adjustable headrest for tailored neck and head support.
• Padded harness and seat contours for everyday comfort on commutes and trips.

Who is this for? The Safety 1st Grand 2-in-1 Booster is suited for families who want one adaptable seat that grows with their child, fits efficiently in tighter back seats, and is easy to move between cars. It appeals to caregivers needing a harnessed option for younger riders and a belt-positioning solution for older children, all while keeping cleaning and installation manageable.
