How quickly will the iX2500 handle large scanning jobs?

The iX2500 scans double-sided pages at up to 45 pages per minute and its 100-sheet automatic document feeder keeps long batches moving with minimal supervision. A brake-roller feeding system reduces misfeeds and a multi-feed sensor and skew detection protect paper and preserve data integrity.

• Duplex speed: up to 45 pages per minute (single-pass double-sided)
• 100-sheet automatic document feeder for uninterrupted batches
• Brake-roller and multi-feed sensor to prevent jams and lost pages
• Skew detection to ensure straight, consistent scans

Can I scan without a computer, and where do scanned files go?

Yes — ScanSnap Cloud lets you scan directly to many cloud services or mobile devices without a PC. The device also connects over Wi‑Fi or USB‑C to PCs, Macs, iPhones and Android devices, and its Quick Menu makes it simple to route files to apps, folders or cloud accounts and apply naming or optimization rules automatically.

• ScanSnap Cloud for deviceless scanning to supported services
• Wi‑Fi 6 and USB‑C connectivity for flexible placement and speed
• Quick Menu for drag-and-drop sending to apps and folders
• Automatic file naming, sorting and searchable OCR options

What kinds of documents and image quality can I expect?

The iX2500 handles a wide range of paper types — invoices, receipts, business cards, photos and standard documents — while software optimizations automatically adjust contrast, orientation and size. Built-in OCR can create searchable PDFs, and the scanner’s transport system maintains consistent alignment and image quality across batches.

• Automatic image correction for photos and text documents
• OCR to produce searchable, editable PDFs and text output
• Support for varied media: receipts, cards, receipts and photos
• Consistent alignment via robust feed mechanism

How easy is it to set up and customize daily scanning tasks?

Setup is straightforward: choose Wi‑Fi or USB‑C, install ScanSnap software on your device, and personalize profiles from the large touchscreen. The touchscreen behaves like a smartphone, and you can create and select profiles that automate destinations, file types and processing steps for common tasks.

• Large seamless touchscreen for profile selection and controls
• Preconfigured and customizable scan profiles for common workflows
• Cross-platform drivers and apps for Mac, Windows, iOS and Android
• Automatic optimizations reduce manual editing after scanning
