Scotts Miracle-Gro Miracid Water-Soluble Acid-Loving Plant Food, 454 g (2-Pack) — Fast-Acting, Foliar & Root Feeding

Scotts Miracle-Gro Miracid is a water-soluble fertilizer specially formulated to feed acid-loving plants like azaleas, hydrangeas and rhododendrons through both roots and foliage for faster visible results.

This concentrated, water-soluble plant food is made to support ornamental shrubs and flowering plants that prefer acidic soils. The powder dissolves quickly to create a feeding solution that can be applied with a watering can or foliar sprayer. Sold as a convenient 1-pound box in a two-pack, the formula delivers nutrients designed to encourage bloom production and root strength when used according to the label.

How does this product feed my acid-loving plants?

Miracid uses a soluble formulation that supplies nutrients both to the root zone and the leaf surface. Once dissolved, the solution is taken up quickly, providing a near-immediate nutrient source for plants that need acidic conditions. It’s intended for periodic feedings to complement routine watering and soil care.

• Double-action feeding: nutrients available via roots and foliage
• Quick-dissolve powder for fast nutrient delivery
• Targets plants adapted to acidic soils (pH-preferring species)

What plants are best treated with Miracid?

Use this formula on ornamentals that naturally thrive in lower-pH soils. Common choices include azaleas, camellias, rhododendrons, and many hydrangea varieties. It’s also suitable for container-grown acid-loving specimens when applied at recommended rates.

• Azaleas, rhododendrons and camellias
• Hydrangeas (to support bloom development)
• Acid-preferring container plants and shrubs

How do I apply and how often should I feed?

Dissolve the measured powder in water following label directions and apply as a soil drench or foliar spray. Frequency depends on the stage of growth and the label’s guidance—typically periodic feedings during the growing season. Always follow dilution instructions and safety recommendations on the packaging.

• Mix exactly as directed for watering or spraying
• Apply during active growth for best uptake
• Wear gloves and avoid contact with eyes when handling powder

Will this change my soil pH or replace other soil care?

Miracid is formulated to feed acid-loving plants; it does not replace good soil management practices. Regular soil testing and amendments are recommended to maintain ideal pH and structure. Use this product as a nutritional supplement rather than a sole soil treatment.

• Supports plants that prefer acidic conditions but does not guarantee pH adjustment
• Works best alongside appropriate soil amendments and testing
• Complementary to mulching and proper watering routines
