SelectSoma Gel Seat Cushion for Long Sitting — Large 18.5x17.5in Blue, Honeycomb Cooling & Pressure Relief for Tailbone and Back

SelectSoma's extra-large honeycomb gel seat cushion delivers cooling, pressure-relieving support for long sitting on office chairs, wheelchairs, cars, and recliners.

Designed for people who sit for hours, the SelectSoma Gel Seat Cushion combines a double-thick honeycomb gel core with a ventilated mesh cover to reduce pressure, improve airflow, and minimize heat buildup. At 18.5 x 17.5 inches this large pad fits wider seats and provides room for taller users while remaining lightweight and portable. It wipes clean, includes a washable cover, and has a non-slip base so you can move it between chairs, vehicles, or outdoor seating without fuss.

How does the cushion help reduce tailbone and lower-back discomfort?

The coccyx-friendly contour and gel elasticity redistribute weight away from sensitive points, easing pressure on the tailbone and lumbar area. The gel’s responsive structure adapts to seated posture, decreasing numbness and strain during prolonged sitting.

• Ergonomic cut that relieves direct pressure on the coccyx
• Double-thick gel layer absorbs and spreads weight evenly
• Supports neutral sitting posture to reduce lumbar stress

Will this cushion stay cool during extended use?

The honeycomb gel design promotes constant airflow through the cushion, while the breathable mesh cover further disperses heat. Unlike dense memory foam, the gel core resists heat retention so you stay cooler and drier through long sessions.

• Open-cell honeycomb gel channels air for ventilation
• Mesh cover lets heat escape rather than trap it
• Water-resistant gel surface wipes clean after outdoor use

Can I use it in different seats—car, office chair, wheelchair, or outdoors?

Yes. The SelectSoma cushion is intentionally lightweight and flexible, making it easy to transfer between vehicle seats, office chairs, wheelchairs, recliners, or patio seating. A non-slip base and included washable cover help keep it secure and hygienic in varied settings.

• Compact enough to carry but large enough to cover wide seats
• Non-slip underside reduces sliding on smooth surfaces
• Durable, wipeable gel plus second machine-washable cover

What size is best and who benefits most from this large version?

The large 18.5 x 17.5 inch footprint offers extra coverage for wider chairs and taller users who need more seating area for comfort and support. It’s suited for anyone who sits for long periods: office workers, drivers, gamers, caregivers, and older adults who need pressure relief.

• Extra-large dimensions for wider chairs and bigger frames
• Recommended for prolonged desk work, driving, and recovery
• Useful as an adult booster or additional support on wheelchairs

Who is this for? The SelectSoma Gel Seat Cushion Large is ideal for people seeking a breathable, pressure-relieving seating solution that’s easy to move between chairs. It works well for those with sciatica, tailbone sensitivity, or general lower-back and hip discomfort, and for anyone wanting a cooler alternative to dense foam cushions.
