Dermatologist-tested and gluten-free, the Free & Clear formula is a practical daily choice for households that prefer simple, transparent ingredients.

How well does this dish soap remove grease and stuck-on food?

The plant-based surfactants in this formula lift and dissolve grease and food residue while rinsing clean, so pots, pans and plates come away with less scrubbing. It’s formulated to be concentrated enough that a small amount produces effective suds on tough messes.

• Concentrated liquid that spreads and cuts through oil and grime
• Works on dried-on foods like egg and baked-on sauces
• Rinses clear without leaving scent or residue

Is this safe for people with sensitive skin and fragrance sensitivities?

Yes—this variant omits fragrances and dyes and is dermatologist tested to be suitable for sensitive skin. The absence of added scents reduces the risk of irritation for users who react to fragrances, while still providing effective cleaning power.

• Fragrance-free and dye-free formula
• Dermatologist tested and gluten-free
• Plant-based ingredients chosen for mildness

What certifications and sustainability features does it offer?

The dish liquid carries several third-party designations that reflect ingredient selection and environmental considerations. Packaging uses recycled plastic and the formula meets USDA biobased content standards while holding an EPA Safer Choice recognition.

• EPA Safer Choice Certified — formulated for safer chemical alternatives
• USDA Certified Biobased Product — 95% biobased content
• Bottle made from 100% recycled plastic and Cruelty-Free Leaping Bunny symbol

How should I use and store this dishwashing liquid for best results?

Dispense a small amount onto a sponge or directly into warm water for handwashing dishes; adjust quantity for heavier grease or larger loads. Store the bottle upright in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and keep the cap closed to prevent spills or evaporation.

• Use a few drops for light loads, more for heavy grease
• Works well with warm water to boost cleaning action
• Keep cap closed and store away from heat and sunlight

Who is this for: Seventh Generation Free & Clear Dish Liquid is ideal for households seeking a no-fragrance, plant-based dish soap that balances cleaning power with gentler ingredients. It’s a good fit for people with fragrance sensitivities or those who prefer certifications like EPA Safer Choice and USDA Biobased standards, families wanting cruelty-free options, and anyone who values recycled packaging and straightforward ingredient transparency.
