Shark POWERDETECT corded stick vacuum HZ4002 Eggplant — self-cleaning DuoClean, HEPA sealed

The Shark POWERDETECT HZ4002 is an ultra-light corded stick vacuum with self-cleaning DuoClean Detect brushrolls, intelligent sensors, HEPA sealing, and odor-neutralizing technology for powerful, allergen-trapping cleaning across floors.

This Shark POWERDETECT corded stick vacuum blends high suction with smart sensing to adapt performance to different floor types, directions, and debris loads. Designed to stay light and easy to move through rooms, it combines a two-brushroll DuoClean Detect nozzle with Intelli-Sense sensors that boost brush speed when needed, a self-cleaning brushroll that keeps pet hair moving into the bin, and an Anti-Allergen Complete Seal with HEPA filtration to trap fine dust inside the machine. The result is a versatile floor-care tool that tackles carpets, bare floors, and pet hair while guarding against odors and keeping maintenance simple.

How does DuoClean Detect improve cleaning on mixed floors?

DuoClean Detect uses two brushrolls working together to engage both large debris and fine dust, while Intelli-Sense floor detection automatically adjusts brushroll speed for the surface. That means fewer passes on transitions between hardwood, tile, and carpet because suction and brush action change when sensors detect a new floor type.

• Two brushrolls: forward-facing soft roller and direct-contact brushroll for debris and dust
• Ultrasonic floor-detect sensor adjusts brush speed automatically
• Improved pick-up on carpets and bare floors with one nozzle

Will it handle pet hair and long strands without tangling?

The POWERDETECT’s self-cleaning brushroll minimizes hair wrap by channeling hair into the bin as it spins, so you spend less time detangling. A dedicated Pet Power Brush accessory further concentrates suction and bristles for upholstery and stairs, making pet-hair removal faster and more thorough.

• Self-cleaning brushroll reduces manual hair removal
• Pet Power Brush included for concentrated pet hair pickup
• High suction power designed to lift embedded pet hair

How does it control odors and allergens inside the home?

Shark’s Odor Neutralizer Technology helps reduce trapped vacuum odors so smells don’t linger in the bin or air around the unit. Combined with an Anti-Allergen Complete Seal and HEPA filtration, the vacuum captures and seals in 99.99% of dust and allergen-sized particles down to 0.3 microns, helping prevent re-release during cleaning.

• Odor Neutralizer cartridge included to guard against unpleasant smells
• HEPA filter + sealed system traps tiny particles inside the vacuum
• Filter and seal designed for low particle escape during operation

How easy is it to store, carry, and maintain?

Lightweight at under 10 pounds and self-standing when paused, the POWERDETECT is simple to move between rooms and stand in a closet without leaning. The onboard tool clip keeps the included upholstery and crevice tools handy, and the clear bin design makes it easy to see when emptying or replacing filters.

• Ultra-lightweight design for lifting and reaching high places
• Self-standing for upright storage after use
• Onboard storage clip keeps accessories accessible and organized
