Shark CarpetXpert Upright Carpet & Spot Cleaner EX151 — 3 Tools, Dual-Tank, High-Speed Brush and PowerSpray

The Shark CarpetXpert EX151 is an upright carpet and built-in spot cleaner that combines high-speed brush action, PowerSpray, and strong suction to remove embedded dirt, spots, and odors across carpets, rugs, and upholstery.

Designed to deliver professional-level carpet care in a household-friendly package, the CarpetXpert brings together a high-speed brushroll, targeted high-pressure spray, and Shark’s powerful suction in one machine. It cleans whole rooms and converts into a handheld spot cleaner for stairs, couches, and tight spaces. A dual-tank system keeps clean solution separate from dirty water, and PowerSpray avoids over-saturating fibers so carpets dry faster after cleaning.

How does this cleaner remove deep-set dirt and grime?

The CarpetXpert uses a coordinated system of agitation, pressurized solution, and extraction to lift and pull away embedded debris. The high-speed brushroll loosens soil, PowerSpray drives cleaning formula into fibers, and strong suction extracts loosened dirt and water into the dirty tank.

• High-speed brushroll agitates fibers to free trapped dirt and pet hair.
• High-pressure PowerSpray delivers cleaning solution deep into carpet yarns.
• Ultra-powerful suction extracts soil and moisture for better results.
• Dual tanks separate clean solution from recovered water for hygienic cleaning.

Can it handle stains, spots, and odor without a separate tool?

Yes — the EX151 includes a built-in spot and stain remover that converts the unit into a handheld cleaner for targeted messes. It’s designed to reach stairs, upholstery, and narrow areas and to treat odors at their source rather than simply masking them.

• Integrated handheld spot tool extends for stairs and upholstery cleaning.
• Specialized cleaning formula targets tough stains and lingering smells.
• Three included tools address different problem areas and fabric types.
• Designed for localized use without soaking surrounding areas.

What accessories come with the CarpetXpert and when should I use each?

The EX151 ships with three purpose-specific tools to cover a range of cleaning needs: a 3.5" reversible bristle tool for deep agitation, an integrated crevice tool for edges and seams, and a 7" wide-path tool for large surface coverage. Choose the tool that matches the job: narrow attachments for spot work, wide attachments for whole-room passes.

• 3.5" reversible bristle tool for stubborn spots and textured carpets.
• Integrated crevice tool for stairs, baseboards, and tight gaps.
• 7" wide-path tool for efficient full-area cleaning of rooms and rugs.
• Comes with 12 oz. Deep Clean Essential Formula for first-time use.

How fast do carpets dry after cleaning, and is it safe for everyday use?

PowerSpray is engineered to deposit solution efficiently without oversoaking, which speeds drying times compared with heavy saturating cleaners. The EX151 is built for routine maintenance and occasional deep cleans, suitable for homes with pets and high foot traffic when used following manufacturer instructions.

• Targeted spray reduces excess moisture for quicker drying.
• Powerful extraction removes most water along with soils and odors.
• Lightweight, maneuverable design for frequent spot cleaning and whole rooms.

Who is this for: The Shark CarpetXpert EX151 is aimed at homeowners and renters who want professional-style carpet cleaning without hiring a service. It’s particularly useful for pet owners, families with active households, and anyone who needs a versatile machine that cleans full rooms yet converts to a handheld spot remover for stairs, upholstery, and targeted stains. If you need a single, adaptable system to restore carpets, treat spots, and remove stubborn odors while minimizing drying time, this model is designed for those everyday and heavy-use scenarios.
