Smilyan Replacement Filter for Winix 5500-2 & AM80 — H13 True HEPA + Activated Carbon, 2-Set

Smilyan 116130 Filter H is a full replacement H13 HEPA and activated carbon filter kit designed to restore peak performance to Winix 5500-2 and AM80 Plasmawave air purifiers.

When your Winix 5500-2 or AM80 needs fresh filters, the Smilyan 116130 Filter H kit provides a direct-fit, manufacturer-grade alternative built from H13 True HEPA media and activated carbon. This two-filter combo (HEPA + carbon pre-filters included) is engineered to match original specifications so your purifier keeps operating at intended airflow and capture efficiency without complicated installation or measuring.

How does this replacement restore my purifier’s performance?

Replacing aging filters reduces resistance and renews particle-capturing ability so the unit moves air effectively while maintaining filtration efficiency. Smilyan uses H13-grade HEPA paper and a high-adsorption activated carbon layer to reproduce the original unit’s specifications.

• Fits Winix 5500-2 and AM80 exactly—no trimming or modification required.
• H13 True HEPA media targets ultrafine particles with high capture rates.
• Activated carbon layer reduces common odors and VOC precursors.
• Electrostatic electret treatment helps sustain performance and lower energy draw.

What are the filter materials and performance characteristics?

The Smilyan kit combines dense H13 HEPA paper with a proprietary activated carbon pre-filter and upgraded electret treatment to balance filtration efficiency against airflow. This construction is intended to capture very small particles while minimizing back-pressure on the fan.

• H13-grade HEPA media for high-efficiency particle capture.
• Activated carbon layer for adsorption of odors and gases.
• Lower-density structure and electret charging for reduced energy use.
• Dimensions match the OEM: 16.3" x 12.6" for both filter types.

How many filters are included and how easy is installation?

This Smilyan package is sold as a value set containing two HEPA filters and two activated carbon pre-filters—enough for two full replacements or extended maintenance. Installation is straightforward: open the purifier, remove the old filters, and slide the Smilyan components into place following the purifier’s orientation marks.

• Package contains 2 HEPA + 2 activated carbon filters for complete replacements.
• Exact-fit sizing eliminates measuring or cutting.
• Quick swap design keeps downtime minimal—typical change takes minutes.
• FSC-certified paper used in filter media construction.

Will using these replacement filters change energy use or filter life?

Smilyan’s filters incorporate an electret charging process and optimized media density intended to reduce pressure drop and support efficient fan operation. That means they’re designed to maintain similar or improved airflow compared with worn filters, potentially helping the purifier run without added strain.

• Electrostatic electret treatment to help capture particles with less airflow resistance.
• Media structure tuned for longevity and steady performance over recommended intervals.
• Maintains compatibility with factory maintenance schedules and indicator lights.

Who is this for? Homeowners, renters, and office managers using Winix 5500-2 or AM80 Plasmawave purifiers who want a cost-effective, direct-fit replacement kit that restores filtration performance without guesswork. It’s also a good choice for people who replace filters on a schedule and prefer buying multi-pack value sets to keep a spare set on hand. If you expect OEM-level fit and a straightforward installation that matches original specifications, the Smilyan 116130 Filter H kit is built to meet those needs.
