Tapix Painter's Plastic Film 2.7 m x 400' 0.31 mil — Heavy-Duty Boxed Dispenser, Tear-Resistant

This contractor-grade plastic sheeting comes boxed with an easy dispense hole so you can roll out long runs of coverage quickly without tangles. At 3600 sq. ft. total and a 0.31 mil thickness, the film balances lightweight handling with toughness suitable for indoor protection, outdoor weather resistance, and temporary greenhouse or moisture barrier use. Tapix builds this product for professional painters, DIY renovators, landscapers, and anyone who needs reliable, economical surface protection on large jobs.

How does Tapix plastic film protect during painting and remodeling?

The film creates a continuous barrier that keeps paint splatters, dust, and debris off floors and furnishings. Its wide 9-foot width minimizes seams, while the dense film resists tearing from foot traffic and tools. Use it to cover stairways, countertops, and furniture when prepping rooms for wall treatment or demolition.

• Covers large areas quickly: 9' width reduces overlap.
• Tear-resistant 0.31 mil high-density material for jobsite durability.
• Boxed roll with dispense hole prevents tangling and speeds deployment.

Can I use this sheeting outdoors or as a greenhouse barrier?

Yes — the Tapix film works as a temporary weather barrier and greenhouse cover for seasons or short-term projects. While not intended as a permanent structure membrane, it handles rain, cold snaps, and sun exposure for weeks to months depending on conditions. It’s also useful as a ground moisture barrier under temporary storage or during site prep.

• Suitable for short-term outdoor covers and plant protection.
• Moisture-resistant surface for temporary vapor or ground barriers.
• Cold- and heat-tolerant for short-term jobsite exposure.

How do I store and deploy the 400' roll efficiently?

The roll ships in a dispenser-style box with a built-in hole so you can pull out exactly the length you need without unwinding the entire roll. Store the boxed roll on a pallet or shelf away from sharp objects and prolonged UV exposure to keep the film performing longer. For indoor jobs, fold or weigh down edges to prevent wind lift and reduce dust infiltration.

• Boxed dispenser keeps roll neat and makes cutting easy.
• Store indoors or shaded to extend useful life.
• Use tape, weights, or clamps to secure edges during use.

What sizes and coverage can I expect from this Tapix roll?

This single roll measures 9 feet wide and 400 feet long, giving roughly 3,600 square feet of coverage. At 0.31 mil thickness, it’s light enough to handle by one or two people while still providing robust protection for common jobsite tasks. The wide width reduces seams and speeds installation across floors and large surfaces.

• Total coverage: approximately 3,600 sq. ft. per roll.
• Width: 9 feet to minimize seams and overlap.
• Thickness: 0.31 mil for a balance of flexibility and durability.
