Taylor Pool Water Test Kit — Complete K-2006 Style Drop Titration Kit for Chlorine, pH & Alkalinity, 1-Pack

The Taylor Pool Water Test Kit is a complete drop-tester for measuring free and total chlorine, pH, alkalinity, calcium hardness and cyanuric acid to keep pool and spa water balanced and safe.

Maintaining clear, comfortable water depends on knowing exactly what’s in it. The Taylor K-2006-style complete test kit provides drop-based reagents and a comparator system that delivers professional-grade readings for residential pools, hot tubs, and spas. Designed for routine checks and troubleshooting, this set combines precise chemistry with easy-to-follow instructions, making it practical for homeowners and service pros alike.

How does this kit measure both free and total chlorine accurately?

The kit uses FAS-DPD titration for precise measurement of free and total chlorine levels, which separates available sanitizer from combined chlorine. Unlike single-strip or OT methods, the drop titration allows you to see actual chlorine demand and residuals so you can adjust treatment more reliably.

• FAS-DPD reagents for titration of free and total chlorine.
• Clear comparator for color matching and end-point determination.
• Step-by-step color-coded instructions for repeatable results.

What water parameters can I test with this kit and why do they matter?

The kit covers pH, acid/base demand, total alkalinity, calcium hardness and cyanuric acid in addition to chlorine, so you can balance water chemistry comprehensively. Monitoring these factors helps prevent corrosion, scale, cloudiness, and sanitizer inefficiency without relying on guesswork.

• pH and acid/base demand to determine correct acid or base dosage.
• Total alkalinity to stabilize pH changes and buffer the water.
• Calcium hardness to avoid scale formation or corrosive water.
• Cyanuric acid (stabilizer) to manage chlorine stability in outdoor pools.

How easy is it to use the Taylor test kit for routine maintenance?

Although it uses titration techniques, the kit is arranged for straightforward home use: color-coded reagents, a water comparator, and a concise treatment guide simplify each test. Typical testing takes only a few minutes, and the kit includes reference charts so you can make adjustments without a lab.

• Compact carrying case organizes reagents, comparator, and instructions.
• Water balance calculator and treatment guide for quick corrective actions.
• Durable reagents provide consistent results when stored per directions.

What supplies and features are included in the package?

The complete kit comes with all primary reagents, a dropper-style titration set, a color comparator, and printed guides for testing and treatment. These components give you a full-service testing workflow so you won’t need add-ons to perform standard pool and spa chemistry checks.

• FAS-DPD bromine/chlorine reagents and titration vials.
• Reagents for pH, alkalinity, calcium hardness, and cyanuric acid.
• Water comparator, carrying case, and waterproof chemistry guide.

Who this is for: Homeowners, pool service technicians, and hot tub owners who want professional-style accuracy without laboratory equipment will benefit from this Taylor complete test kit. It’s particularly useful if you need precise chlorine differentiation (free vs. total), regular balancing of pH and alkalinity, or monitoring of hardness and stabilizer levels. If you prefer drop titration over strip testing and want a single kit that handles all major parameters, this is a practical, long-lasting option.
