Tepook 4x6 Soft Fluffy Rug — Black Shag Area Rug, Plush Non-Slip Velvet-Like Pile

The Tepook 4x6 soft fluffy rug is a plush, non-slip black shag carpet designed to add warmth, quiet and cloud-like comfort to bedrooms, living rooms, nurseries and dorms.

This 4-by-6-foot Tepook shag rug combines a thick, long pile with a textured anti-slip backing to create a cozy floor surface that cushions feet, reduces noise and anchors room decor. It’s made from velvet-like fibers that feel silky underfoot, and its deep pile helps trap cold air from the floor while softening footfalls. The black color provides a versatile, grounding accent that works with modern, minimalist and eclectic interiors.

How will this rug change the feel of my room?

The Tepook fluffy rug instantly softens a space visually and physically. Its dense pile creates a plush layer that makes standing, sitting or playing on the floor more comfortable and lends rooms a warmer, quieter ambience.

• Thick long fibers for a cushioned, cloud-like surface
• Sound-absorbing pile that reduces echo and footstep noise
• Deep black tone that anchors furniture and highlights other colors

Is this rug safe and stable on different floors?

The underside features small plastic grip dots to help the rug stay in place on hardwood, tile and laminate. While the anti-slip backing improves traction, adding a full rug pad is recommended for high-traffic areas or slippery floors to maximize safety.

• Plastic grip-dot backing for improved stability
• Works on hard surfaces and low-pile carpets
• Pair with a non-slip pad for extra hold and lifespan

How do I clean and care for this shag rug without damaging it?

For everyday upkeep, vacuum gently with a suction-only setting to remove dust and debris. For heavier dirt, spot clean or hand wash; the rug can be machine washed on a gentle cycle if needed, then air-dried flat, avoiding dryers and direct sunlight to maintain pile and color.

• Vacuum regularly using low-suction or a handheld attachment
• Spot treat spills promptly; hand wash or machine wash gentle for deep cleaning
• Air dry in shade to preserve texture and prevent fiber damage

Where does this size and style work best?

The 4x6-foot size fits many common uses: placed beside a bed, under a coffee table, in a nursery play corner or as a dorm room statement. Its compact dimensions make it easy to layer over larger rugs or move between rooms for seasonal updates.

• Perfect bedside rug to warm feet when you wake
• Under small coffee tables for a modern living room look
• Comfortable play surface for kids’ rooms and nurseries

Who is this for: The Tepook 4x6 soft fluffy rug is ideal for anyone seeking a comfortable, easy-to-style accent rug that improves room warmth and noise control. It's well suited to apartment dwellers, parents creating comfy play zones, college students furnishing dorms, and homeowners who want a low-maintenance, luxe-feeling floor covering in a compact size.
