The Organic Coffee Co. Hurricane Espresso DECAF Whole Bean 907 g — Dark Roast, Water-Processed Decaf

Bold espresso-style flavor without the caffeine: Hurricane Espresso DECAF is a dark, water-processed whole bean roast built for rich crema and full body.

Hurricane Espresso DECAF from The Organic Coffee Co. delivers the heavy, chocolatey, and smoky notes you expect from a dark espresso roast while using a water-based decaffeination method to remove caffeine. Roasted and packaged in the USA, these Arabica whole beans are formulated to perform cleanly across machines — from home espresso rigs to French press and drip brewers — so you can enjoy robust flavor at any hour.

How does this decaf espresso taste compared with regular dark roasts?

Hurricane Espresso DECAF aims to mirror the profile of a traditional dark espresso: deep roasted chocolate, toasted nuts, and a persistent bittersweet finish. The water-process decaffeination preserves much of the original bean character, providing a bold cup without the stimulant.

• Dark-roast signature: smoky chocolate and toasted notes
• Full-bodied mouthfeel with a calm, lingering finish
• Water-processed decaf keeps more natural flavors intact

Which brewing methods work best with these whole beans?

These whole beans are versatile and were roasted to deliver concentrated flavor for espresso yet still perform well in other methods. Grind size is the primary control: fine for espresso and moka pot, medium-coarse for pour-over and drip, and coarse for French press.

• Espresso/moka pot: use a fine, compacted grind for crema and extraction
• Drip/pour-over: medium grind for balanced clarity and body
• French press: coarse grind to preserve full-bodied texture

What sustainable and quality practices does The Organic Coffee Co. use?

The Organic Coffee Co. emphasizes sustainably sourced beans and eco-conscious production, partnering with growers who follow responsible farming practices. Roasted and packaged in the USA by a family company, the product reflects attention to traceability and small-batch quality.

• Water-process decaffeination avoids chemical solvents
• Sustainably and ethically sourced Arabica beans
• Family-roasted and packaged in the United States

How should I store and dose these 2 lb whole beans for best results?

Keep the beans in a cool, dark, airtight container and grind only what you need to preserve aroma and flavor. For dosing, start with standard benchmarks and adjust: roughly 18–20 grams for a double espresso, 1–2 tablespoons per 6 ounces for drip or pour-over, and 1 ounce per 4 ounces for stronger brew strength.

• Storage: airtight container, away from heat and sunlight
• Dosing: 18–20 g double espresso; 1–2 tbsp per 6 oz drip
• Grind fresh before brewing for maximum aroma

Who is this for? Hurricane Espresso DECAF is ideal for coffee lovers who crave the intensity of a dark espresso but prefer—or require—reduced caffeine. It suits home baristas dialing in espresso shots, small offices wanting a robust decaf option, and anyone who enjoys full-bodied whole-bean coffee across multiple brewing methods. If you value bold flavor, sustainable sourcing, and American roasting, this 2 lb bag offers everyday value and a dependable decaf espresso experience.
