THERMOS Stainless King Vacuum-Insulated Travel Tumbler, 473 ml Matte Steel — 7h Hot / 18h Cold, Leak-Proof DRINKLOCK

The THERMOS Stainless King Travel Tumbler is a 16-ounce vacuum-insulated stainless steel cup that keeps beverages hot for up to 7 hours and cold for up to 18 hours with a leak-proof DRINKLOCK lid.

Built from 18/8 stainless steel with THERMOS vacuum insulation, this Matte Steel 16-ounce tumbler is designed for commuters, students, and anyone who wants temperature retention without bulk. Its double-wall construction minimizes heat transfer so the exterior stays comfortable to hold, and the DRINKLOCK lid adds spill protection plus a convenient tea hook for brew-on-the-go. The design balances durability, everyday usability, and easy cleaning for consistent performance over time.

How long will my drink stay hot or cold in this tumbler?

The Stainless King uses vacuum insulation to slow heat exchange between the drink and the outside air. You can expect hot beverages to remain warm for up to 7 hours and cold drinks to stay chilled for up to 18 hours under normal conditions.

• Vacuum-insulated double-wall stainless steel construction
• 7-hour hot retention and 18-hour cold retention estimates
• Exterior stays cool to the touch with hot contents and sweat-free with cold

Does the lid really prevent leaks and how easy is it to clean?

The DRINKLOCK sealing lid is engineered to be leak-proof when fully closed, giving extra security during travel. The lid disassembles for cleaning and includes a built-in tea hook that holds bags or most loose-leaf infusers, making it practical for brewed beverages.

• DRINKLOCK mechanism locks to prevent spills when closed
• Removable components for thorough cleaning and maintenance
• Integrated tea hook for tea bags and many loose-leaf infusers

Is the tumbler durable enough for daily use and travel?

Constructed from 18/8 stainless steel, the Stainless King is built to resist dents, rust, and everyday wear — suitable for backpacks, cup holders, and car trips. Its compact 16-ounce size offers a balance between capacity and portability without adding unnecessary weight.

• 18/8 stainless steel body for impact and corrosion resistance
• Matte Steel finish resists scuffs and looks clean longer
• Fits most standard cup holders and travel gear

Can I put this tumbler in the dishwasher?

THERMOS brand recommends that mugs and tumblers are dishwasher safe on the top rack, though hand washing the lid and seals helps maintain long-term performance. The body withstands dishwasher cycles, but removing the lid for separate cleaning preserves the DRINKLOCK components.

• Body is dishwasher safe—top rack recommended
• Remove and hand-wash lid parts to extend seal life
• Simple disassembly for thorough cleaning of crevices

Who is this for: The THERMOS Stainless King 16-ounce Matte Steel tumbler suits commuters, office workers, students, and outdoor enthusiasts who want reliable temperature control in a compact package. It’s ideal if you value a durable stainless-steel build, need a leak-resistant lid for travel, and appreciate an integrated tea hook for brewed beverages. If you prefer larger capacities, consider a bigger size, but for everyday portability and consistent thermal performance, this 16-ounce model balances convenience and retention.
