Thundershirt Calming Anxiety Vest for Dogs — Small Heather Grey, Lightweight & Adjustable Pressure Wrap

The ThunderShirt for Dogs Calming Anxiety Vest in Small Heather Gray is a lightweight, machine-washable pressure wrap designed to help reduce stress and overstimulation in dogs by applying consistent, gentle pressure.

This original ThunderShirt uses a patented calming-pressure design that many veterinarians and trainers recommend. Built from breathable, soft fabric and adjustable closures, the vest is easy to put on and tailor for the right snugness. It’s intended as a non-medicated option to help dogs feel steadier during storms, fireworks, travel, vet visits, or any situation that commonly triggers anxiety.

How does the ThunderShirt calm my dog during loud noises or storms?

The vest works by delivering steady, wrap-around pressure across the torso, similar to a reassuring hug. That pressure can help your dog stay more composed when sudden or loud stimuli occur, reducing frantic behaviors without drugs.

• Even pressure across chest and ribs for consistent calming effect
• Adjustable fit lets you control how snug the wrap feels
• Soft, breathable material prevents overheating during use
• Easy on/off so you can apply it quickly when needed

Will my dog tolerate wearing the ThunderShirt during everyday activities?

Most dogs accept the vest quickly because it’s lightweight and made of comfortable fabric. No special training is required; many pet owners report their dogs remain relaxed during walks, crate time, grooming, or while encountering visitors.

• Lightweight construction allows normal movement and walking
• Machine-washable for easy cleaning after repeated use
• Secures around neck and torso for stable, non-restrictive fit
• Works well with other calming products for layered support

How do I size and adjust the Small ThunderShirt for the best results?

Sizing depends on your dog’s chest girth and body shape; the Small size fits many small-breed dogs and puppies. You should fasten the vest so it’s snug but not constricting — tight enough to provide steady pressure while allowing full breathing and movement.

• Measure chest circumference for accurate size selection
• Adjust straps to achieve evenly distributed pressure
• Confirm fit by observing normal breathing and relaxed posture
• Re-check adjustments after initial wear and during longer sessions

What situations is this calming vest most useful for?

The ThunderShirt is suited to many common stress triggers and transitional moments, making it a versatile tool for pet owners. It helps manage reactive behaviors linked to separation, loud celebrations, vet trips, travel, and sudden household disruptions.

• Provides support during thunderstorms, fireworks, and travel
• Helpful for separation anxiety and crate training
• Useful at the groomer or during veterinary appointments
• Supports rescue or newly adopted dogs adapting to a home
