Titleist AVX Golf Balls — Low-Spin, Soft Urethane Cover (White, 12-Pack)

Titleist AVX golf balls are engineered for a low-trajectory, low-spin ball flight that delivers exceptionally soft feel and longer distance from tee to green.

Built for players who want to change their ball flight profile without sacrificing short-game control, the AVX blends new core, casing and cover technologies to produce a piercing trajectory, reduced iron spin and a noticeably softer impact. The design prioritizes a lower launch and lower spin on long shots while still offering enough greenside bite through a softer urethane cover and refined dimple pattern.

How do AVX balls create a lower, more penetrating trajectory?

AVX achieves a lower flight through a combination of core construction, casing layer properties and dimple geometry. The high-gradient core and thin, high-flex casing reduce spin on long shots, while the 346 quadrilateral dipyramid catenary dimples encourage a more piercing ball path.

• High-gradient, high-speed core promotes consistent energy transfer for distance.
• Thin, flexible casing layer lowers long-game spin for flatter launch.
• 346 quadrilateral dipyramid dimples reduce drag for a penetrating flight.

What does “softer feel” mean on impact and around the greens?

"Softer feel" refers to the reduced vibration and quieter sensation at contact, making shots feel more muted and controlled. The AVX’s new urethane cover is formulated to be softer than previous generations, which enhances touch on chips and pitches without losing the necessary friction for spin control near the hole.

• Softer urethane cover delivers gentler feedback at impact.
• Improved cover formulation increases short-game spin and control.
• Core/casing balance preserves distance while maintaining feel.

How does the AVX balance distance with greenside control?

The AVX balances longer distances on full shots with reliable short-game performance by isolating low spin on long irons and drivers while retaining cover softness for wedge shots. That separation of characteristics is achieved through the multilayer construction and the specific cover material chosen to increase short-game bite.

• Lower iron spin yields longer carry and roll on long shots.
• Softer cover enhances friction for more consistent greenside stopping power.
• Layered construction keeps energy for distance while moderating spin where needed.

Which design elements make AVX suitable for advanced players?

The AVX’s technologies target players who want to shape shots and control trajectory: the dimple pattern, thin casing layer and advanced core all support predictable ball behavior across clubs. These features help skilled players fine-tune launch and spin characteristics without losing the soft feel that many players prefer.

• Precision dimple geometry for stable, consistent flight.
• Casing and core aimed at lower spin on long clubs for better control.
• Softer cover for touchy wedge play and chip control around greens.

Who is this for: Titleist AVX golf balls are aimed at golfers who want to reduce flight and spin for increased roll and distance while enjoying a softer impact feel and refined short-game control. If you favor a lower ball flight, value a muted impact sensation, and still need greenside spin, the AVX offers a blend of technologies tailored to those priorities. Players who prefer higher-launch, maximum-spin designs may prefer other models, but those seeking a penetrating trajectory with a soft touch will find the AVX a compelling option.
