TRIPP LITE TLP1208SAT Surge Protector Power Strip, 12-Outlet, 2880J, 2.4 m Flat Plug with Coax RJ11 RJ45

TRIPP LITE TLP1208SAT is a 12-outlet home theater surge protector with a 2880-joule rating, integrated coax/RJ11/RJ45 protection, and an 8-foot flat-plug cord for convenient, space-saving installation.

Designed for living rooms, media centers, and home offices, this Tripp Lite surge protector consolidates power and data-line protection into a single, install-friendly unit. It gives multiple devices—TVs, routers, gaming consoles, set-top boxes, and phones—surge suppression plus diagnostic indicators and mounting options for a tidy, reliable setup.

How does this surge protector safeguard my TV and home theater components?

The TLP1208SAT uses a 2880-joule suppression capacity to absorb transient voltages that can damage sensitive electronics connected to the strip. In addition to AC surge suppression, it includes coaxial, phone (RJ11) and Ethernet (RJ45) ports to limit surge transfer through signal lines.

• 2880 joules of surge absorption for the AC outlets.
• Built-in coax port protects cable/satellite signals.
• RJ11 port shields phone/fax lines from spikes.
• RJ45 port protects Ethernet and passes up to 100 Mbps.

Will the extra-wide outlets and flat plug work with bulky adapters and furniture?

Yes—the strip includes four widely spaced outlets to accept large power bricks without obstructing adjacent plugs, and the low-profile flat plug allows furniture to sit flush against the wall. The 8-foot extension cord gives flexibility in outlet placement while keeping devices neatly arranged.

• Four spacing-friendly outlets for transformers and large adapters.
• Flat, space-saving plug keeps furniture close to the wall.
• 8-foot cord offers reach for media cabinets or wall-mounted TVs.
• Keyhole slots for wall or desk mounting to save floor space.

What safety and monitoring features are included to ensure reliable protection?

The unit is UL Certified and UL Listed and includes a 15A circuit breaker to protect against overloads. Diagnostic LEDs show when the unit is grounded and actively protecting, giving quick visual confirmation that your system is receiving surge suppression.

• UL Certification and UL Listing for tested safety standards.
• 15A circuit breaker for overload protection and reset capability.
• Ground and protection status LEDs for easy monitoring.
• Lifetime limited warranty and $250,000 connected equipment insurance.

How easy is it to install and maintain in a home setup?

Installation is straightforward: plug it into a grounded outlet, mount with the built-in keyhole slots if desired, and connect devices. The flat plug and long cord simplify placement behind furniture or media consoles; periodic visual checks of the LEDs indicate ongoing protection status.

• Plug-and-play setup with 8-foot cord and flat plug design.
• Keyhole mounting for secure wall or under-desk installation.
• Includes phone, Ethernet, and coax cables for immediate line protection.
• Technical support from Eaton/Tripp Lite for troubleshooting.
