UEi Test Instruments folding pocket digital thermometer PDT650 — Yellow, −14–300 °C range, magnetic mount

The UEi PDT650 is a rugged folding pocket digital thermometer with a wide −58 to 572°F range, built-in magnet, and a back-folding probe for accurate temperature readings in HVAC, refrigeration, and food service work.

The PDT650 compactly combines a 3.5-inch folding probe, large easy-to-read LCD, and a magnetic mount to make temperature checks fast and hands-free. Designed for professional field use, it delivers reliable, repeatable readings in tight spaces and on equipment surfaces. Lightweight and built for daily carry, this unit balances durability with a simple user interface so technicians and service personnel can focus on diagnostics rather than instrument setup.

How wide is the PDT650’s temperature range and where can it be used?

The PDT650 measures from −58°F to 572°F (−50°C to 300°C), covering most HVAC, refrigeration, food service, and general maintenance needs. Its probe reads ambient air and direct-contact temperatures in solids and liquids, switching between °F and °C with the press of a button.

• Range: −58 to 572°F (−50 to 300°C) for broad application coverage.
• Probe: 3.5-inch folding tip for direct-contact measurements.
• Scales: User-selectable °F/°C to match regional or job requirements.

How does the folding probe and design help in tight or awkward spots?

The back-folding probe is engineered to deliver accurate readings whether fully extended or folded closed, enabling all-angle operation. That means you can take measurements inside ducts, behind equipment, or in cramped cabinets without straining the probe or altering your grip.

• All-angle operation: reads reliably even when folded shut.
• Compact footprint: pocket-sized for easy transport and deployment.
• Durable hinge: built for repeated folding on jobsite use.

What hands-free and memory features make field work easier?

The PDT650 includes a built-in magnetic mount and a pocket clip so you can attach it to metal surfaces or secure it to clothing while you work. Min/Max memory stores peak and low readings, helping you document conditions without constant note-taking.

• Magnetic mount: stick the meter to ducts, cabinets, or equipment for hands-free reading.
• Pocket clip: keeps the meter accessible between checks.
• Min/Max memory: records highest and lowest values for quick verification.

How accurate and durable is the meter for everyday professional use?

The device provides dependable accuracy—typically ±1.8°F (±1°C) across a common working window—and displays readings with 0.1° resolution for fine adjustments. It’s CE-marked, powered by a long-life LR44 battery, and covered by a 3-year limited warranty for peace of mind on the job.

• Accuracy: ±1.8°F (±1°C) in the main operational range with 0.1° resolution.
• Power: AB13 (LR44) button-cell battery for extended standby life and simple replacement.
• Warranty & compliance: 3-year limited warranty and CE marking for professional confidence.

Who is this for: The UEi PDT650 is aimed at HVAC technicians, refrigeration service techs, food-service operators, building maintenance personnel, and anyone who needs a portable, reliable thermometer for on-the-spot measurements. If you need a small, sturdy thermometer that mounts to equipment, works in confined spaces, and keeps a record of min/max readings, the PDT650 is engineered for those daily field demands. Note: this is a measurement instrument and is not intended for medical use on people or animals.
