Under Armour Gameday Armour Pro 5-Pad Girdle White Large — Padded Compression, Low-Profile HEX Protection

The Under Armour Gameday Armour Pro 5-Pad Girdle is a men's padded compression short built with McDavid HEX protective padding to shield hips, thighs, and tail without extra bulk.

This padded football girdle combines close-fitting compression with strategically welded padding so you can wear protection under pants and still move freely. Engineered from a ventilated 4-way stretch mesh, the girdle manages sweat, dries quickly, and stretches in every direction for unrestricted motion. The lightweight, waterproof HEX padding and hard thigh plates are designed to absorb and disperse impact where players need it most, while the sew-free construction reduces chafing and distraction during play.

How does the padding protect without feeling bulky?

The girdle uses McDavid HEX padding—thin, honeycomb-like inserts that provide impact absorption while keeping a low profile under uniform pants. Pads are welded into the fabric rather than sewn in, which reduces seams and prevents bunching so the fit stays snug and streamlined.

• McDavid HEX padding design for impact dissipation
• Welded pad construction eliminates bulky seams
• Low-profile profile keeps the silhouette under game pants

Will this girdle stay comfortable and dry during a full game?

Yes—fabric selection focuses on breathability and moisture control. The 4-way stretch mesh moves with your body and provides ventilation, while the moisture-wicking material pulls sweat away from skin and dries quickly, helping you stay focused instead of feeling weighed down by damp gear.

• 4-way stretch mesh for enhanced mobility and airflow
• Fast-drying, sweat-wicking fabric to reduce moisture buildup
• Lightweight construction minimizes heat retention during intense play

What kind of impact protection do the thigh and hip areas receive?

This model includes five protected zones—hips, both thighs, and tailbone—with hard plates over the thighs for added defense in high-contact regions. The combination of flexible HEX padding and rigid thigh plates balances mobility with targeted reinforcement so you can tackle or brace for hits with confidence.

• Hard thigh plates for extra protection in vulnerable spots
• Padded hip and tail areas absorb and spread impact forces
• Strategically placed pads keep protection where collisions most often occur

How does the fit support performance during play?

The compression fit holds muscles in place and reduces garment movement, which can improve comfort and reduce distractions. The girdle's elastic waistband and close contouring work together to keep pads aligned while allowing a full range of motion for running, cutting, and blocking.

• Compression profile stabilizes muscles and pad positioning
• Elastic waistband secures the girdle under pants through activity
• 4-way stretch lets you move freely in every direction
