Velpeau Arm Sling Shoulder Immobilizer — Comfort, Large (Underbust 33.5–41), Lightweight & Breathable

Velpeau Arm Sling Shoulder Immobilizer is a lightweight, T-shaped arm sling designed to stabilize the shoulder and immobilize the arm comfortably for left or right use.

This sling combines a low-profile T-shaped strap system with soft, breathable materials to keep the arm secure without excessive bulk. Built without neoprene or latex, the design focuses on gentle immobilization, pressure relief across the neck and shoulder, and options for foam-padded comfort or a ventilated mesh pouch for warmer conditions. Available in multiple sizes, the sling accommodates a broad range of forearm lengths and underbust measurements; the Large fits underbust 33.5"–41" and forearm under 13.8".

How does the T-shaped design keep my arm steady?

The T-shaped strap wraps around the torso so the arm stays close to the body and swinging is minimized. This layout shifts load away from the neck and distributes it across the waist, improving stability without adding stiffness.

• Wrap-around waist strap prevents lateral movement.
• Secure anchoring holds arm against chest for consistent positioning.
• Low-profile build fits discreetly under clothing.

What comfort features reduce strain during long wear?

Velpeau uses a sponge-filled shoulder strap to soften contact points and avoid neck strangulation. The sling is very light (comfort version about a quarter pound for size medium) and offers breathable materials so you can wear it while sleeping, traveling, or doing light activities.

• Padded shoulder strap reduces pressure and encourages proper blood flow.
• Air-hole foam or sandwich mesh pouch options for ventilation.
• Soft, sweat-absorbing materials for extended, comfortable wear.

Can I wear it on the left or right arm and how do I size it?

The sling ships set up for the right arm but can be reoriented for left-arm use by following the included strap instructions. Confirm fit by measuring palm-to-elbow and underbust; choose the larger size when between measurements for added comfort.

• Default orientation: right arm; adjustable for left use.
• Size chart: Large underbust 33.5"–41", forearm <13.8".
• If between sizes, select the larger option for better coverage.

Which version should I pick: Comfort or Breathable?

Both versions share the same supportive structure and strap system. Choose the Comfort version for soft foam padding and a plush feel; choose the Breathable version if you want a lighter, mesh pouch that improves airflow in warm conditions.

• Comfort: sponge pouch with air holes, softer and cushioned.
• Breathable: sandwich mesh pouch for superior ventilation.
• Both are latex- and neoprene-free to reduce odor and skin irritation.
