VTech Toy Story 5 Learning Phone — Disney & Pixar pretend phone with 8 games and microphone

The VTech Disney and Pixar Toy Story 5 Learning Phone is an interactive kid-friendly pretend phone that features eight character-led games and voice clips from Jessie and friends.

This compact learning toy combines role-play with early STEM and language practice through number, shape and memory activities inspired by Toy Story 5 characters. Buttons, a microphone and character icons unlock short mini-games that encourage counting, pattern recognition and imaginative responses. It runs on two AA batteries (included for demo) and is designed for preschoolers aged 3 and up.

What can my child do with this Toy Story 5 phone?

The device offers a mix of pretend-play calling and structured mini-games guided by Jessie, Buzz, Woody and other characters. Each game focuses on a simple skill like counting, identifying shapes, or comparing quantities, while interactive features let kids respond with emojis, sound prompts or button presses.

• Eight games: number practice, shape matching, memory quizzes and more
• Character buttons for direct interactions with Jessie, Buzz, Woody, Bullseye and new friends
• Microphone input for fun voice-triggered actions like charging Smarty Pants
• Photo-taking mode that lets children “snap” favorite characters

How does it help with early learning and playtime routines?

Short, focused activities help young children practice counting, recognition and following directions without lengthy sessions. The pretend-phone format also encourages social and imaginative play—kids can role-play conversations, reply with emojis, or take turns answering the phone.

• Number button interactions reinforce counting and fine motor skills
• Shape and quantity tasks introduce basic math vocabulary
• Playful voice clips and ringtones teach listening and turn-taking
• Compact size fits into daily play and travels easily

What are the main controls and customization options?

Controls are straightforward: numeric keypad, character icons, a microphone and a screen backlight toggle. Kids can choose from five ringtones, turn the screen backlight on or off, and activate different game modes by pressing the character buttons.

• Five selectable ringtones for personalization
• Screen backlight on/off to save battery or change visual feedback
• Microphone-triggered features for interactive play moments
• Simple numeric keypad for number games and call-answering play

What should I know about power, age range, and safety?

The toy is intended for children 3 years and older and requires two AA batteries. VTech includes demo batteries, but fresh batteries are recommended for regular use. The design avoids small detachable parts to suit preschoolers, yet parental supervision is suggested for any toy play.

• Intended age: 3+ years
• Power: requires 2 AA batteries (demo included; fresh recommended)
• Durable molded buttons and rounded edges for young hands
• Short audio clips and mild volume suitable for preschool settings
