VTech Race and Discover Driver compact steering-wheel toy — interactive dashboard, 3 racetracks & 20 learning games

The VTech Race and Discover Driver is a hands-on driving toy with a colorful screen and interactive dashboard that teaches preschool skills through games, races and town exploration.

This compact, steering-wheel toy combines role-play driving features—steering wheel, gear shift, horn and turn signals—with a bright game screen and dashboard buttons that simulate calls, radio, GPS and autopilot. Kids steer through three racetracks and visit everyday locations like a farmer’s market, gas station, school and airport while learning counting, letters, problem solving and cause-and-effect. Batteries are included for demonstration but fresh batteries are recommended for regular play.

How does the Race and Discover Driver make playtime educational?

The toy embeds preschool learning into playful missions around town and during races. Short, focused games encourage counting, letter recognition and sequencing while destination activities present concrete problems to solve.

• 20 games and trips that mix letters, numbers and simple spelling tasks
• Counting activities at the gas station and market to practice numbers
• Problem-solving challenges when avoiding road hazards or navigating routes

What realistic controls and features does it include?

Controls mimic the look and feel of a real car to encourage imaginative driving and fine-motor skills. Buttons and switches deliver audio cues like radio traffic reports, GPS directions and phone calls to enrich pretend-play scenarios.

• Functional steering wheel, gear shift, turn signals and horn for tactile play
• Interactive dashboard with radio, GPS and autopilot voice prompts
• Visual game screen showing three racetracks with rising difficulty levels

How do the racetracks and levels keep kids engaged?

• Three racetracks with three levels per track for gradual skill progression
• Race hazards and obstacles that teach timing and attention
