weyooin 85W MagSafe 2 Charger for 15" Retina MacBook Pro A1398 — T-Tip Fast Charging, LED Status

A compact 85W replacement MagSafe 2 (T-tip) power adapter by weyooin designed to fast-charge 15-inch Retina MacBook Pro models from Mid 2012 to Early 2015.

If your original Apple 85W adapter stopped working or the cable frayed, this weyooin charger provides the same 85W output and a T-shaped MagSafe 2 connector to restore reliable, full-speed charging. Engineered with built-in safety circuitry and an LED charge indicator, it aims to reproduce the charging behavior expected by MacBook Pro A1398 machines while avoiding mismatches with other MagSafe or USB-C ports.

Which MacBook models will this weyooin 85W charger work with?

It’s specifically made for 15-inch Retina MacBook Pro models that use the MagSafe 2 T-tip connector. Check your Mac’s model number or the physical connector shape before buying to prevent compatibility mistakes.

• Compatible: 15" Retina MacBook Pro A1398 models (Mid 2012–Early 2015: MD975, MD976, ME664, ME665, ME293, ME294, MGXA2, MGXC2, MJLQ2, MJLT2).
• Not compatible: MagSafe 1 (L-shaped), MagSafe 3 (round), or USB-C chargers.
• Connector: MagSafe 2 T-shaped magnetic tip only.

How fast and steady is the charging performance?

This adapter delivers DC 20V at 4.25A (85W), matching the original factory rating for 15" Retina MacBook Pros so it supports normal heavy use without throttled charging. The power output is stable under typical workloads and includes power-matching circuitry to reduce battery stress.

• Output specification: DC 20V 4.25A, total 85W for full-speed charging.
• Maintains charge under workloads like editing, streaming, or multitasking.
• LED status light: red while charging, green when fully charged.

What safety features are built into the adapter?

Weyooin includes multiple protection layers to guard the laptop and adapter against common electrical faults. These safeguards help prevent damage from surges, overheating, or short circuits while optimizing charging longevity.

• Over-current and over-voltage protection to prevent sudden spikes.
• Thermal management and short-circuit defense for safer long-term use.
• Automatic power-matching to protect the MacBook battery from improper charging.

How do I confirm this is the correct replacement for my MacBook?

Identify the charging port on your MacBook: a flat, T-shaped MagSafe 2 connector indicates compatibility. If your machine uses an L-shaped MagSafe 1, the newer round MagSafe 3, or USB-C, this unit is not the right match.

• Visual check: T-shaped magnetic tip = MagSafe 2.
• Model check: verify MacBook model number against supported list (A1398 series).
• Compare wattage: requires an 85W adapter for proper performance on 15" Retina models.

Who should consider the weyooin 85W MagSafe 2 charger? If you own a 15-inch Retina MacBook Pro from Mid 2012 through Early 2015 and need a dependable replacement that matches the original 85W specification, this adapter is designed for you. It’s aimed at professionals and students who require consistent full-power charging during intensive tasks, travelers seeking a compact spare, and anyone replacing a damaged or lost Apple charger but who still needs MagSafe 2 compatibility. Avoid this product if your MacBook uses any other MagSafe generation or a USB-C power input.
