Wix 57060XP XP Oil Filter for Synthetic Oil — Extended-Interval High-Flow Protection

This WIX XP filter is engineered to give drivers reliable engine protection during heavy towing, long highway miles, and stop-and-go city driving. With a synthetic-blended media that includes natural fibers, the 57060XP delivers efficient particle capture without wire backing while a silicone anti-drainback valve helps preserve oil flow at startup in hot and cold conditions. It's designed to meet or exceed OE fit and performance expectations so installation is straightforward for both home mechanics and shop technicians.

How does this filter handle synthetic oil and extended drain intervals?

The WIX XP media is formulated to perform with synthetic lubricants, resisting breakdown and maintaining filtration efficiency over longer service lives. WIX specifies extended performance allowing compatibility with longer synthetic oil change intervals when following vehicle and oil manufacturer recommendations.

• Next-generation synthetic-blended media with natural fibers for consistent trapping of contaminants
• Designed for up to 20,000-mile change intervals under appropriate conditions
• Robust construction to withstand high-flow and high-load scenarios

What level of filtration efficiency can I expect from the 57060XP?

This XP series filter uses advanced media that captures a high percentage of particles down to small micron sizes, improving engine cleanliness compared with many standard filters. While exact performance varies by application, the technology mirrors WIX’s proven approach to delivering reliable contaminant removal in severe driving conditions.

• Efficient particle capture through blended synthetic and natural fiber media
• No wire backing required, simplifying media construction and flow
• Designed to reduce contaminant circulation during extended service periods

Will it fit my vehicle and how easy is installation?

The 57060XP is manufactured to match OE dimensions and thread specifications for compatibility with a range of GM, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and other listed models. Installation is a typical spin-on replacement: remove the old filter, lubricate the gasket, hand-thread the new filter, and tighten to manufacturer torque. Always confirm fitment with your VIN or the part finder before purchase.

• Engineered for precise fit to ensure correct sealing and alignment
• User-friendly spin-on design for DIY or professional installation
• Follow vehicle maker and WIX fitment tools to verify compatibility

How does this filter perform in extreme temperatures and during startup?

The silicone anti-drainback valve helps keep oil in the filter cavity when the engine is off, which supports immediate oil flow at startup and reduces dry-start wear. Silicone material retains flexibility across a wide temperature range, improving seal performance in cold and hot climates compared with rubber compounds that can harden or deform.

• Durable silicone anti-drainback valve for reliable oil retention
• Maintains gasket flexibility across temperature extremes
• Helps preserve oil pressure and flow during initial startup

Who is this filter for? The WIX 57060XP is aimed at drivers who use synthetic oils and want a higher-performing spin-on filter for vehicles within the listed makes and model years. It suits owners who tow, do long highway work, or prefer extended maintenance intervals, plus mechanics seeking a drop-in replacement that meets stringent fit and protection expectations. Always verify fitment for your specific vehicle and follow oil and service recommendations from your vehicle and oil manufacturers.
