Woolite Damage Defense liquid laundry detergent, 2.96 L (66 loads) – protects against stretching, pilling & colour fade

Woolite Damage Defense is a liquid laundry detergent formulated to clean clothes gently while protecting fibers from stretching, pilling, and fading so garments look newer longer.

Every wash puts textiles through mechanical and chemical stress. Woolite Damage Defense pairs a mild cleaning action with a FabricGuard Complex that cushions fibers and reduces surface abrasion. The result: effective soil removal without aggressive ingredients like optical brighteners, phosphates, or bleach. This bottle supplies enough detergent for about 66 loads and is compatible with both HE and standard machines across cold, warm, and hot cycles.

How does Woolite Damage Defense protect clothes from stretching and losing their shape?

The formula includes Fit Protect components that help fibers maintain their original alignment and elasticity during agitation. By reducing the friction and agitation damage that happens in washers, garments retain their cut and fit longer, especially knitwear and activewear. It’s not a repair product, but it slows the mechanical wear that causes garments to sag or warp.

• Fit Protect technology reduces fiber distortion during wash cycles
• Gentle cleaning action minimizes mechanical stress on seams and elastics
• Suitable for stretch fabrics like leggings, bras, and fitted tees

Will this detergent stop colors from fading or bleeding?

Woolite Damage Defense contains Fade Protect elements designed to stabilize dyes and limit color loss over repeated washes. It helps preserve color vibrancy by reducing the conditions that cause dye migration. For best results, wash like colors together and follow garment care labels.

• Fade Protect helps maintain brightness across repeated washes
• Formulated without optical brighteners that can alter color tones
• Works in cold water when you want gentler color care

Can it prevent pilling and make fabrics feel smoother?

Yes — the product’s FabricGuard Complex targets surface abrasion that leads to fuzzing and pilling. By creating a mild protective layer and reducing fiber-on-fiber friction, it helps knits and blends stay smoother. It will not remove existing pills but reduces new pilling with continued use.

• Pill Protect reduces fiber breakage that forms visible fuzz
• Helps keep delicate surfaces looking soft and uniform
• Recommended for sweaters, fleece, and blended knit garments

How should I use Woolite Damage Defense in my laundry routine?

Measure according to load size and soil level — the bottle directions provide specific dosing for HE and standard machines. Use cold water when possible to maximize color protection and reduce energy use; warm or hot water can be used for heavily soiled items. Avoid combining with bleach or harsh additives to preserve the formula’s protective benefits.

• Compatible with HE and standard washers; works in cold, warm, or hot water
• Follow label dosing for light, normal, and heavy loads; about 66 loads per 100 oz bottle
• Avoid adding bleach or strong alkaline cleaners that can negate protection

Who this is for: Woolite Damage Defense is aimed at anyone who wants to extend the life and appearance of their garments — especially owners of activewear, knitted sweaters, denim, blends, and favorite pieces you reach for often. If you prefer a detergent free of bleach, phosphates, and optical brighteners that balances cleaning power with fabric care, this product fits into a preventative wash routine designed to keep clothes looking newer, longer.
