Zesty Paws Flea and Tick Shampoo for Dogs, 473 ml — Vet-Formulated, Soothing Botanical Wash

Zesty Paws Flea and Tick Shampoo for Dogs is a 16oz vet-formulated cleansing wash designed to help remove fleas, ticks and their eggs while soothing irritated skin.

This shampoo blends targeted botanical extracts and gentle cleansing agents to support a clean, comfortable coat after a single bath. Formulated by veterinarians, the 16-ounce bottle combines insect-targeting oils with calming botanicals so you can treat your dog’s fur and skin without relying on harsh chemicals. Use it as part of a regular grooming routine to manage pests, refresh your pet’s scent, and leave fur soft and manageable.

How quickly does this shampoo act against fleas and ticks?

The shampoo is made to act during the bath by loosening and helping remove adult fleas, ticks, eggs, and larvae from the coat. Because it’s a topical wash, results depend on thorough lathering and rinsing during a full bath; repeated use as directed improves control over time.

• Vet-formulated blend targeting multiple life stages: adults, eggs, and larvae
• Apply generously, work into a rich lather, and let sit briefly for best effect
• Rinse thoroughly to remove dislodged pests and debris
• Use regularly alongside other pest-management steps for ongoing control

What ingredients are in the formula and how do they help my dog’s skin?

The formula mixes botanical oils—like cedarwood, rosemary, eugenol (clove-derived), and peppermint—with mild cleansers to balance pest-targeting action and skin care. These ingredients provide a gentle approach that supports coat health while offering soothing properties for temporarily irritated or itchy skin.

• Cedarwood Oil and Rosemary Oil: botanical components to aid in pest control support
• Eugenol Oil: derived from clove, included for its targeted activity in wash applications
• Peppermint Oil: cooling and calming for skin that may feel hot or sensitive
• Mild surfactants: cleanse without stripping natural oils or leaving residue

Is this safe for regular grooming and which dogs can use it?

Designed for routine bathing, this shampoo is vet-formulated with gentler ingredients than many harsh pest washes, making it suitable for frequent grooming when needed. Always follow label directions and avoid use on puppies under the age listed on the bottle or on dogs with known sensitivity to essential oils.

• Suitable for adult dogs as part of regular grooming
• Not a substitute for veterinarian-prescribed systemic flea-control products
• Patch-test first on dogs with sensitive skin or known allergies to botanicals
• Follow age and safety guidance printed on the product label

How should I use this shampoo for best results?

For effective results, wet your dog’s coat thoroughly, apply a generous amount of shampoo, and massage until a rich lather forms from neck to tail. Allow the lather to sit briefly to increase contact time, then rinse completely and dry—repeat as recommended and combine with household and yard pest control for a complete program.

• Wet coat completely before applying shampoo
• Lather from roots to tips and leave on briefly per label instructions
• Rinse thoroughly to remove pests, eggs, and product residues
• Combine with environmental controls and vet advice for comprehensive management
