Zippo Classic Lighter Inserts — Single Torch, Double Torch or Rechargeable Arc for Windproof Ignition (Classic Case Fit)

Zippo lighter inserts let you convert any Classic Zippo case into a butane torch or rechargeable plasma arc lighter for wind-resistant ignition and easy refills.

Choose from three purpose-built inserts—Single Torch Butane, Double Torch Butane, and Rechargeable Arc—to customize a Classic Zippo lighter case. Each insert is engineered to drop into standard Classic Zippo housings (note: not compatible with Slim, Armor, or 1935 Replica cases) and is sold separately from the lighter case. Single and Double Torch models provide odorless, push-button butane flames; the Rechargeable Arc uses twin plasma beams for flameless ignition. All inserts come packaged in a gift box and are stamped with Zippo’s best-in-class guarantee.

How do the different inserts perform in wind and outdoor conditions?

The Double Torch Insert uses two focused flame jets to create a stronger, wind-resistant heat source ideal for outdoor tasks. The Single Torch offers a concentrated, high-temperature flame suitable for controlled use. The Rechargeable Arc delivers a flameless, windproof plasma beam that works in breezy settings and is simple to recharge.

• Double Torch: twin butane flames for increased wind resistance
• Single Torch: precise, adjustable blue flame for reliable lighting
• Rechargeable Arc: dual plasma beams for flameless, windproof ignition

What are the refilling and maintenance requirements?

Both butane torch inserts are refillable with butane fuel and are shipped empty for safe transport—use Zippo butane for optimal results. The Rechargeable Arc recharges via a USB connection and requires no fuel. Routine checks include ensuring seals and valves on the butane insert are clean and that the plasma contacts are free of debris.

• Butane inserts: refill with Zippo butane; 0.9g fuel capacity
• Rechargeable Arc: recharge by USB; no fuel required
• All inserts: simple drop-in installation into Classic Zippo cases

Will these inserts fit my Zippo lighter and keep the Zippo click?

These inserts are designed specifically for Classic Zippo lighter cases and will retain the familiar Zippo "click" when closed. They do not fit Slim, Armor, or 1935 Replica cases, so verify your case style before purchasing. Each insert is stamped and packaged individually.

• Fits: all Classic Zippo lighter cases
• Does not fit: Slim, Armor, or 1935 Replica cases
• Sold separately: inserts come without lighter case

Who is this for? Zippo lighter inserts are tailored to anyone who already owns a Classic Zippo case and wants a customized ignition experience—smokers, outdoor enthusiasts, hobbyists, and gift buyers. Choose a Single Torch for precise blue-flame performance, a Double Torch if you need extra wind resistance, or the Rechargeable Arc if you prefer a flameless, rechargeable option. Note that butane torch inserts arrive unfilled and perform best when refilled with Zippo butane fuel. Each insert delivers reliable Zippo engineering, portability, and the convenience of being packaged in a gift-ready box.
