ZuPreem FruitBlend Macaw & Cockatoo Food, 1.59 kg — Complete Pelleted Diet with Fruit Flavours for Large Parrots

ZuPreem FruitBlend Macaw & Cockatoo Food is a complete pelleted diet formulated for large parrots, delivering balanced vitamins, minerals, and fruit flavors to support everyday health and natural foraging behavior.

Designed for macaws, cockatoos, amazons, and other large companion parrots, this 3.5 lb bag of FruitBlend offers colorful, fruit-shaped pellets that replace nutritionally poor seed-only feeding. The recipe provides a broad spectrum of nutrients intended to help maintain feather condition, digestive health, and overall activity levels while encouraging birds to explore and forage through varied shapes and flavors.

How does this food support a large parrot’s daily nutrition?

FruitBlend is manufactured as a complete and balanced daily diet so it can serve as your bird’s primary meal. The formulation combines vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants tailored for large-parrot metabolic needs without relying on fatty seed mixes.

• Fortified with essential vitamins and minerals for overall maintenance
• Antioxidant ingredients to help support natural immune function
• Pelleted format prevents selective eating common with seed diets
• Designed to pair well with fresh foods and foraging treats

Will my macaw or cockatoo accept the colorful, shaped pellets?

The variety of fruit-shaped pieces and enticing fruit flavors are intended to stimulate interest and mimic the diversity birds seek in the wild. Many owners report good acceptance when switching gradually from seed mixes and combining FruitBlend with favorite fresh items.

• Multiple shapes and colors encourage investigation and play
• Fruit flavors increase palatability without added junk fillers
• Mixing with a small amount of familiar food eases dietary transitions
• Suitable for foraging toys or scatter-feeding to promote activity

How should I feed this product alongside fresh foods, seeds, or treats?

Use FruitBlend as the foundation of a weekly feeding plan and supplement with fresh fruits, vegetables, and measured nuts or seeds. This helps prevent excess fat consumption from seeds while preserving variety and enrichment.

• Offer FruitBlend as the main ration each day, adjusting quantity by bird size and activity
• Add fresh produce daily for vitamins and moisture—rotate types for variety
• Limit seeds and high-fat treats to occasional rewards to control calorie intake
• Use foraging feeders to extend mealtime and encourage natural behaviors

Is this suitable for birds with specific health considerations?

FruitBlend is intended as a balanced maintenance diet for healthy large parrots. For birds with diagnosed medical conditions, consult an avian veterinarian before making major dietary changes to ensure nutrient levels and texture fit therapeutic needs.

• Formulated for general maintenance rather than therapeutic feeding
• Recommended to discuss special diets with an avian vet if needed
• Can be part of a monitored nutritional plan when combined with vet guidance
• Helps reduce selective feeding behaviors that can cause nutrient gaps

Who this product is for: ZuPreem FruitBlend Macaw & Cockatoo Food is aimed at owners of large companion parrots—macaws, cockatoos, amazons, and similar species—who want a ready-to-serve, nutritionally fortified pelleted diet that encourages natural foraging and reduces reliance on seed-only feeding. It’s a good option for caretakers seeking a balanced everyday food that mixes well with fresh produce and enrichment items, and for anyone transitioning birds toward a more complete, pelleted nutrition plan.
