Zwiran Solar Bug Zapper — 4500V Cordless Mosquito Zapper, 4000mAh Rechargeable, IPX5 Outdoor

The Zwiran Solar Bug Zapper is a rechargeable, solar-powered insect trap that uses 365–395nm attractant lights and a 4500V grid to reduce flying pests across up to a half-acre without chemicals.

Designed for yards, patios, campsites and indoor-outdoor transitional spaces, this cordless unit combines a high-capacity 4000mAh battery, EPA registration and an IPX5 weather rating so you can run it reliably through warm evenings. It pairs ultraviolet-spectrum LEDs with a high-voltage elimination grid and multiple mounting options, letting you place the lure and the solar panel where they work best.

How does the Zwiran zapper attract and eliminate insects?

The unit uses twenty targeted LEDs that emit light in the 365–395nm range to draw mosquitoes, flies and other phototactic pests. Once insects contact the inner grid, a 4500V charge neutralizes them quickly without sprays or sticky baits.

• 20 UV LEDs tuned for insect attraction (365–395nm)
• 4500V electric grid for immediate elimination
• Physical control method—no insecticides, fumes, or pellets

What runtime and charging options are available for outdoor use?

A built-in 4000mAh battery delivers up to about 12 hours of operation on a full charge. You can recharge the battery either with the integrated solar panel or via USB fast charge in roughly four hours, making it flexible for cloudy days or busy outdoor schedules.

• 4000mAh battery for long evening coverage (approx. 12 hours)
• USB fast charge completes in ~4 hours
• Solar panel provides ongoing trickle charge during daylight

Where can I mount this zapper and does it work in shaded spots?

Zwiran includes a 10-foot extension cord for the solar panel and a 2.6-foot hanging chain so you can position the light and lure in shaded or protected spots while keeping the panel in sun. The IPX5 casing and stable stake make it suitable for patios, poolside, garden beds and campsite setups.

• 10 ft solar-panel extension cord for flexible placement
• 2.6 ft hanging chain for porch, gazebo or umbrella mounting
• IPX5 water resistance and included ground stake for outdoors

Is the Zwiran zapper safe for families and pets?

Zwiran’s design emphasizes non-chemical pest control: a narrow safety grid reduces accidental contact and the device operates without fumes. It’s EPA registered and backed by a 12-month warranty and customer support for confidence in home use.

• Narrow protective grid to limit finger or paw access
• EPA registration for physical insect control methods
• 12-month warranty and 24/7 customer service support

Who this is for: The Zwiran Solar Bug Zapper fits homeowners, renters and outdoor enthusiasts who want a low-maintenance, chemical-free way to reduce flying pests across medium-sized outdoor areas. It's a practical pick for people who need flexible mounting (porches, umbrellas, or stakes), reliable battery life for evening gatherings, and simple solar or USB recharging. Avoid if you need certified insect identification or trapping data—this is a broad-spectrum, passive-control device intended to reduce nuisance insects rather than provide species-specific monitoring.
