AIRHEAD GNAR Kwik-Dry Neolite Infant & Child Life Jacket, Multicolor — USCG-Approved Low-Profile Comfort

The AIRHEAD GNAR Kwik-Dry Neolite Flex life jacket is a USCG-approved, low-profile flotation vest built for infants and children that balances secure buoyancy with freedom of movement.

Designed for water play, boating and family outings, this AIRHEAD life jacket uses quick-drying Neolite fabric and a streamlined fit to keep young users comfortable while meeting United States Coast Guard Type II (infant) and Type III (child) requirements. The vest combines closed sides, a zipper, dual buckles, and a crotch strap to lock the jacket in place, while a rapid rescue handle and visible multicolour panels help caregivers respond quickly in active water situations.

How does this life jacket keep a child secure in the water?

The GNAR vest uses multiple retention features and approved flotation materials to help keep the wearer properly supported. Closed side panels prevent the jacket from riding up, and the crotch strap reduces the risk of slipping out of the vest during activity.

• USCG-approved Type II (infant) and Type III (child) flotation ratings.
• Zipper plus double ITW Delran side-release buckles for an extra-secure fit.
• Crotch strap to hold the vest down and a rapid rescue handle for quick retrieval.
• Designed for the chest and weight ranges specified by the USCG sizing chart.

Will the vest be comfortable for full-day water activities?

Yes — the GNAR prioritizes mobility and comfort with a less-bulky profile and large armholes that allow free arm movement for swimming, paddling or play. Soft, quick-drying Neolite fabric and lightweight foam layers reduce chafing and keep the jacket feeling light after getting wet.

• NeoLite quick-dry fabric wicks moisture and dries fast between uses.
• Soft PVC and lightweight EPE foam provide buoyancy without excess bulk.
• Deep neckline and extra-large arm openings improve range of motion.

What sizes cover infants and children, and how should I choose?

The GNAR follows USCG sizing conventions so you can match the vest to a child’s chest measurement and weight. Select the infant size for 15–30 lb children and the child size for 30–50 lb children, checking the 22–25 inch chest range for child models.

• Infant model fits approximately 15–30 pounds.
• Child model fits approximately 30–50 pounds and 22–25 inch chests.
• Follow USCG sizing guidelines for a proper fit and safe flotation.

What materials and hardware extend the vest’s durability?

AIRHEAD builds the GNAR from robust, fade-resistant fabrics and reliable hardware designed for repeated outdoor use. Reinforced stitching, UV-resistant nylon/polyester blends, quality zippers and Delran buckles combine to resist wear and maintain safe performance season after season.

• UV-resistant 200 denier Nylon Oxford and Polyester outer panels.
• Luxurious Neoprene and quick-dry NeoLite comfort layers.
• Heavy-duty ITW Delran side-release buckles and a YKK zipper for secure closures.
