Amish Country Popcorn Mushroom Popcorn Kernels — 2.72 kg Bag, Large Ball-Shaped Pops, Non-GMO

Amish Country Popcorn Mushroom Kernels (6 lb) are large, round popcorn kernels that pop into sturdy, ball-shaped pieces ideal for caramelizing and heavy toppings.

Hand-selected from farms in Amish Country, this 6-pound bag of mushroom popcorn kernels delivers a mild, clean flavor and a pop texture built for coatings and confections. The kernels are non-GMO, gluten free, and free from tree nuts and peanuts, making them a practical pantry staple for at-home snack makers, small-batch confectioners, and anyone who prefers a firmer popcorn shape for candying or dipping.

What makes mushroom popcorn different from regular popcorn?

Mushroom popcorn pops into dense, round clusters rather than thin, irregular flakes. That compact shape resists breakage and holds sauces, chocolate, and caramel better than butterfly-style popcorn, so finished treats look neater and stay crunchy longer.

• Ball-shaped, durable popped kernels that minimize crumble
• Uniform surface for even coating and glaze adherence
• Large pop size yields higher volume per kernel

How should I store a 6 lb bag to keep kernels fresh?

To preserve popping quality, keep kernels in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity. Transferring them from the original bag into an airtight resealable container reduces air exposure and prevents moisture from degrading performance.

• Use a plastic or glass airtight container with a tight lid
• Store in a pantry or cupboard at consistent, moderate temperature
• Avoid refrigerators/freezers where condensation can form

Which recipes and uses are best for these kernels?

These mushroom kernels are especially suited to recipes that require heavy coatings: caramel corn, kettle corn, chocolate-covered popcorn, and candied popcorn mixes. They also work well for bulk party snacks, homemade popcorn balls, and small-business confection runs where presentation matters.

• Caramel corn and candied popcorn: kernels hold glaze without crumbling
• Chocolate-dipped popcorn: smooth surface makes drizzles look clean
• Popcorn balls and shaped treats: compact pops keep form

Are these kernels safe for people with common allergens?

Amish Country Popcorn’s mushroom kernels are labeled non-GMO, gluten free, and free of tree nuts and peanuts, which reduces cross-allergen exposure for many consumers. However, always check product packaging and manufacturing notes if you have severe allergies.

• Non-GMO verified kernels from Amish Country farms
• Gluten free and marketed as free from tree nuts and peanuts
• Confirm current allergen statements on the package before use

Who is this for: This 6 lb bag is aimed at home cooks and hobby confectioners who make large batches, small-food businesses producing caramel or chocolate-coated popcorn, and anyone who wants a reliable popcorn base for recipes that demand sturdy, evenly coated popped corn. Its neutral taste and robust pop make it a go-to option for festivals, movie nights, gift tins, and seasonal treats.
