Blackline Microfiber Car Drying Towel 24x36 in — 1300GSM Twisted-Loop, Ultra-Absorbent Plush

Blackline Microfiber Car Drying Towel is a 24"×36" 1300GSM twisted-loop towel engineered to remove all water quickly without streaks, spots, or paint drag.

Whether you hand-wash, use a pressure washer, or park under a tree, the final step is getting the surface dry without leftover marks. The Blackline drying towel combines a dense 1300GSM pile with twisted-loop fiber construction to lift and lock in water, letting you finish a full-size vehicle with one pass. It’s large, plush, and built to reduce time at the sink while protecting paint and trim.

How does this towel prevent streaks and water spots?

The twisted-loop microfiber design creates channels that pull water up into the towel instead of dragging it across the paint. Because the fibers hold water internally, there’s less smearing, so you get a clear, streak-free finish with fewer passes. The high pile density increases surface contact while maintaining a soft cushion over the clearcoat.

• Twisted-loop fibers trap droplets inside the towel instead of spreading them.
• 1300GSM density maximizes absorption per square inch for cleaner drying.
• Large 24"×36" size reduces the number of passes required.
• Soft pile minimizes abrasion and avoids micro-scratches on paint.

How much water can it hold and how fast does it dry a car?

The Blackline towel soaks up several times its weight—enough to hold up to roughly a gallon of water—so one towel can often dry mid-size to large vehicles. Its generous dimensions and high absorbency mean fewer towel changes and a faster overall job. After use, the microfiber dries quicker than traditional terry cloth when hung properly, ready for the next wash.

• Absorbs more than six times its weight in water for efficient drying.
• 24"×36" coverage helps finish panels with fewer strokes.
• Quick-drain fibers reduce dripping during the drying process.
• Machine-washable for repeated professional use.

Will it scratch paint or remove wax and coatings?

Designed for safe use on automotive paint, the twisted-loop microfiber provides a cushioned glide that resists abrasive contact. Because it lifts water rather than pushing it, there’s less chance of dragging dirt particles across the surface. For best results, rinse or shake the towel free of grit before continuing and use separate towels for drying and polishing tasks.

• Plush fibers reduce friction against clearcoat finishes.
• Pick-up action keeps contaminants inside the towel, away from paint.
• Use a dedicated drying towel to preserve wax and sealants.
• Recommended to inspect and clean towel between panels to avoid debris transfer.

How do professionals use this towel during detailing?

Pros value the Blackline towel for its speed and reliability during final drying and quick-detailing. It’s commonly used after a rinse, foam cannon, or hand wash to quickly remove remaining moisture before sealing or storing the vehicle. Its size and absorbency let a single technician cover more area without swapping multiple cloths.

• Preferred for final drying after hand washes and rinses.
• Used before applying coatings or after quick-detail sprays to ensure a dry surface.
• Works well with a two-towel system: one for roofs/higher areas, one for lower panels.
• Machine-wash safe to meet repeated professional demands.
