CAP Folding Exercise Mat 72" x 24" x 2" Thick – Black, Tri-Fold Portable Mat with High-Density Cushioning

The CAP Folding Exercise Mat is a 72" x 24" x 2" foldable workout mat that provides high-density cushioning, a durable anti-tear surface, and 10P-free, kid-safe materials for home fitness, gymnastics, and training sessions.

This tri-fold mat from CAP combines thick impact-absorbing foam with a resilient vinyl surface to create a portable, easy-to-store padding solution for stretching, tumbling, yoga, aerobics, martial arts, and general floor workouts. Designed to be durable yet simple to maintain, the mat resists tearing, wipes clean, and folds compactly for storage or transport using reinforced nylon handles. Hook-and-loop tabs let you join multiple mats for larger practice areas, making this model adaptable for solo home use or group training.

How does the 2-inch foam protect joints during workouts?

The mat uses 2-inch high-density foam engineered to absorb shock and reduce impact transmitted to knees, wrists, and hips. The extra thickness helps disperse force during landings and floor exercises without sacrificing a stable surface for balance work.

• 2" high-density foam for added cushioning and support
• Even surface that maintains stability for balance and strength moves
• Suitable for low- to medium-impact activities like stretching and tumbling

What makes this mat safer for kids and families?

CAP constructs the folding mat from materials free of 10 harmful phthalates (10P), lead, and mercury to reduce exposure to common toxins found in some vinyl products. The non-toxic build plus a wipe-clean surface make it a practical choice for households, therapy spaces, and children’s practice areas where safety and hygiene matter.

• Certified 10P-free material composition
• No lead or mercury in the mat construction
• Easy-to-clean outer cover helps maintain sanitary conditions

How portable and modular is the folding design?

The tri-fold layout lets you fold the mat into a compact package for storage and transport, while built-in nylon handles make carrying straightforward. Hook-and-loop closures at the edges allow secure attachment of additional mats, so you can expand your workout area when needed.

• Tri-fold configuration for compact storage and carrying
• Reinforced nylon handles for moving between rooms or classes
• Hook & loop edges to connect multiple mats into a larger floor

How does the surface hold up to regular use and cleaning?

The mat features an anti-tear outer layer that stands up to repeated sessions, friction, and rolling movements. Cleaning is simple—wipe with a damp cloth and air dry—so the mat stays hygienic without special cleaners.

• Durable anti-tear cover resists wear from regular use
• Low-maintenance cleaning: damp cloth and air dry
• Designed for repeated folding without premature seam failure

Who this mat is for: The CAP Folding Exercise Mat is suited to home gym users, parents looking for a safer kids’ tumbling surface, coaches needing a portable practice mat, and therapists requiring cushioned flooring. If you need a stable, non-toxic, and easily storable mat for stretching, aerobics, gymnastics, martial arts, or everyday workouts, this CAP model provides a balance of comfort, durability, and transportability.
