How quickly will my pool be safe to swim after using this shock?

Clorox Pool&Spa Shock Clear dissolves rapidly and the formula is engineered so pools can be swim-ready in about 15 minutes under normal conditions. Always follow label directions and verify chlorine levels if you’ve added heavy dosages or treated after storms.

• Fast-dissolving granules designed for quick dispersion
• Typical swim-ready time: 15 minutes with standard dosing

What does the 4-in-1 formula actually do for my water?

The 4-in-1 formulation targets multiple pool care needs at once — it sanitizes by killing bacteria, preserves pH balance so you don’t need immediate adjustment, clears cloudy water by removing suspended contaminants, and helps the filter capture debris more effectively.

• Kills common pool bacteria to refresh water quality
• Formulated not to immediately change pH, reducing extra balancing steps
• Clarifies cloudy water for improved visibility and appearance
• Helps filters trap particles faster for cleaner water

How much should I use and when should I shock my pool?

Follow the product dosing: use 1 lb. of product per 12,000 gallons of water for routine weekly maintenance. Additional treatments are recommended after heavy bather loads, high temperatures, or significant rain events that introduce contaminants.

• Standard dose: 1 lb. per 12,000 gallons for weekly maintenance
• Shock after heavy use, storms, or prolonged hot weather
• Consult the Clorox Pool App for customized dosing by pool size and condition

Is this safe for my pool surface and equipment?
