Cumbor Baby Gate 30–48 in Metal Safety Gate for Stairs, White — Auto-Close, Dual-Lock

The Cumbor 30–48 in Baby Gate is a heavy-duty, auto-closing metal safety gate designed to secure stairways, doorways, and high-traffic openings while allowing a wide, easy walk-through for parents and pets.

Families need a dependable barrier that balances strength, convenience, and flexible installation. The Cumbor gate combines a dual-lock safety mechanism with both pressure- and hardware-mount options, a generously wide 22.3" walk-through opening, and included extensions so one gate fits many common home openings without constant reconfiguration.

How does the gate keep children and pets contained without trapping adults?

The gate uses a dual-lock system that prevents curious toddlers from opening the door while allowing adults to unlatch and pass through quickly. Its low-profile threshold and generous door width make carrying children or groceries easy and reduce tripping hazards.

• Dual-lock mechanism deters accidental openings by little hands
• 22.3" walk-through width accommodates strollers and carrying loads
• Low step pedal and small threshold to minimize trips
• Auto-close feature ensures the gate returns to a secure position after use

What mounting options are available for different parts of the home?

Install the gate using pressure mounts for temporary or tool-free installations, or switch to the hardware mount for a permanent, high-strength fit—recommended for stair tops and active pets. The gate includes Y-shaped bolts to fit round stair rails without drilling.

• Pressure-mount setup for doorways and hallways (no tools required)
• Hardware mount for stairs or high-impact areas (bolts included)
• Y-shaped bolts enable secure attachment to round railings
• Supports up to 150 lbs pressure-mounted, over 210 lbs hardware-mounted

Will this gate fit my opening and is it easy to adjust?

The gate ships with extensions and adjusts to fit openings from 30" to 48", covering most U.S. stairways, kitchen entrances, and hallways. Extensions attach quickly, so you can expand or reduce the span without buying extra parts.

• Adjustable fit range: 30"–48" with included extensions
• Quick attachment points for adding or removing extensions
• Designed for typical home openings (40"–46" stair widths commonly fit)
• Durable metal construction maintains alignment across the span

How do safety awards and testing affect everyday use?

The gate is a Mom’s Choice Award recipient, reflecting hands-on feedback from parents and child-safety reviewers. That recognition indicates practical safety features and user-friendly design tested in real household scenarios.

• Recognized by parents and safety evaluators for reliable performance
• Design refinements based on real-world family needs
• User-focused features like easy latch access and auto-close
• Robust metal frame for durable, long-term use
