Diono Solana Lite backless booster seat Pack of 2, Black Storm — lightweight 816 g, machine-washable covers

The Diono Solana Lite is a featherweight, backless booster seat for children 40–100 lbs that keeps the vehicle belt aligned while being easy to carry and clean.

Designed for family travel, carpools and everyday use, this pack of two Solana Lite boosters combines compact width with modern safety compliance so three boosters can often fit across many back seats. At just 1.8 pounds each, the seats are intended for quick transfers between vehicles, rental cars or grandparents' cars. Durable, machine-washable covers and a belt-positioning shell make maintenance and correct belt fit straightforward for caregivers on the move.

How does the Solana Lite help with belt positioning?

The Diono Solana Lite uses a contoured, belt-guiding design that helps keep the lap and shoulder belt where it should be across your child’s hips and chest. It doesn’t change how the vehicle belt works, but it helps prevent the belt from riding up on a child’s abdomen or slipping off the shoulder.

• Belt-positioning shell aligns the vehicle belt over the pelvis and clavicle.
• Fits children 40–100 lbs and 43"–57" tall for appropriate belt placement.
• Backless design allows use with standard three-point vehicle belts.

Will the Solana Lite fit three across in my car?

With a narrow footprint of 15.16 inches wide, each Solana Lite is engineered to maximize seating capacity in the rear row. Many vehicles can accommodate three boosters across when using compact backless boosters like these, though car interior dimensions vary.

• Compact 15.16" width designed to increase the chance of three-across installation.
• Backless profile reduces overall seat bulk for tighter seating arrangements.
• Check your vehicle manual and seat spacing to confirm three-across compatibility.

How portable and easy to care for is this booster?

The Solana Lite is exceptionally light — about 1.8 pounds — so it can be lifted with one finger and clipped to a backpack for hands-free carry. The polyester cover removes for machine washing, which simplifies cleanup after snacks or outdoor adventures.

• Weight 1.8 lbs for effortless carrying and quick swaps between cars.
• Includes a carabiner-compatible handle clip for attaching to backpacks or luggage.
• Removable, machine-washable cover for fast cleaning and maintenance.

What safety standards and age/size ranges apply?

The Diono Solana Lite meets the current U.S. FMVSS 213B safety requirements for child restraints and is intended for children who weigh between 40 and 100 pounds and measure 43 to 57 inches tall. Use with a proper three-point vehicle belt and follow vehicle and booster instructions for correct installation and fit.

• Meets FMVSS 213B safety standards for child restraint systems in the U.S.
• Suitable for children 40–100 lbs and 43"–57" tall.
• Backless design requires an adult seat belt with a shoulder strap for use.

Who this is for: Parents and caregivers who need a travel-ready, lightweight booster that’s simple to move between vehicles, fit into tight rear-seat arrangements, and keep the vehicle belt positioned correctly. The Solana Lite pack of two is ideal for families managing multiple children, frequent rentals, carpooling, or those looking to outfit a second vehicle with portable boosters that are easy to clean and store.
