Etekcity Smart Body Composition Scale — 13 Metrics, Tempered Glass, 181 kg Capacity, VeSync App

The Etekcity Upgraded Smart Scale is a tempered-glass digital body composition scale that measures weight plus 13 body metrics (including body fat and BMI) and syncs with health apps, and it's FSA/HSA eligible.

Designed for everyday tracking, this smart scale combines precise sensors with dual-frequency electrode technology to produce consistent measurements and an app-driven view of progress. It supports up to 400 lb (180 kg), offers fine increment resolution for lighter weights, and can operate with or without a phone—making it flexible for different routines and privacy preferences.

How accurate are the weight and body composition readings?

The scale uses advanced AC methodology plus dual-frequency electrodes to reduce noise and improve consistency across sessions. While weight readings are highly precise, body composition metrics estimate tissue proportions using bioelectrical impedance—useful for trends rather than clinical diagnosis.

• Weight capacity: 400 lb / 180 kg / 28 st.
• Resolution: 0.1 lb (0.05 kg) under 220 lb; 0.2 lb (0.1 kg) above 220 lb.
• Tempered glass platform for stable, even readings.
• Dual-frequency electrodes for improved body composition sampling.

What metrics and app features does it provide?

The scale reports 13 body composition metrics, including body fat percentage, BMI, and muscle mass, and funnels data into the VeSync app for analysis. VeSync offers calorie tracking, personalized plans, and syncs with major health platforms so you can consolidate metrics in one place.

• 13 metrics: body fat, BMI, muscle mass, and more for trend tracking.
• App sync: Apple Health, Fitbit, Google Fit, Samsung Health, MyFitnessPal.
• Personalized diet and exercise suggestions available in VeSync.
• Secure Bluetooth data transmission and long battery life for frequent use.

Can I use the scale without a smartphone or for multiple users?

Yes—there's a phone-free mode that lets you toggle a switch and input personal data with the display button, enabling independent use without an app. The device also includes automatic user recognition so multiple household members can be tracked without manual switching.

• Mobile-free option: enter profile on the scale for app-free weighing.
• Automatic user recognition for effortless multi-user tracking.
• No manual calibration required—instant, repeatable results.
• On-device data storage for everyday use without cloud dependency.

What are the physical specs and battery expectations?

The Etekcity scale measures 11 x 11 x 1 inches with a tempered-glass platform for a low-profile footprint that fits most bathrooms. It ships with four AAA batteries pre-installed and the stated battery life supports roughly 600+ weigh-ins under typical conditions.

• Dimensions: 11 x 11 x 1 in (28 x 28 x 2.4 cm).
• Batteries: 4 x 1.5V AAA (pre-installed), long-shelf use.
• Supports iOS 15.0+ and Android 8.0+ for full VeSync functionality.
