FEED GARDEN 76" Adjustable Shepherds Hook Pole - 7-Prong Heavy-Duty Garden Hanger, 9.53 kg Capacity

FEED GARDEN's 76-inch adjustable shepherds hook is a heavy-duty outdoor pole with a unique 7-prong ground base designed to hold bird feeders, lanterns, hanging plants and décor securely.

Built from thick-walled metal and engineered for stability, this 76" pole solves the common wobble and tipping problems of single- or dual-prong shepherd hooks. The modular design includes a removable short pole that lets you change hanging height in 16-inch increments, while the seven-prong base spreads load and resists sideways forces from wind and heavier hanging items. It’s an all-purpose outdoor hanger for gardens, patios, walkways and event styling.

How does the 7-prong base improve stability?

The seven-prong configuration increases ground contact and reduces the chance of the pole leaning or toppling in wind or when holding multiple items. Compared with two-prong stakes, the broader footprint distributes weight more evenly and resists rotation.

• Seven ground forks for increased lateral support and balance
• Step-on prongs allow secure seating in compacted soil
• Better resistance to gusts and accidental bumps than typical two-prong stakes

What height and weight can I hang from this shepherds hook?

The pole is 76 inches tall when assembled and comes with a detachable short pole (16 inches) so you can shorten or extend the overall height to suit your display. The tube walls are 2 mm thick and the pole supports a maximum recommended load of about 21 lb—enough for bird feeders, medium hanging baskets, lanterns, or seasonal decorations.

• 76" assembled length; removable 16" short pole for adjustment
• 2 mm wall thickness for improved load-bearing capacity
• Rated to hold up to 21 lb under normal outdoor conditions

Is it easy to put together and install in different soils?

Assembly is tool-free and designed for a single person to install: slide the sections together, press the base prongs into the ground, and step on the forks to seat the stake firmly. The broad prong design helps in most soils; for very rocky or frozen ground, pre-softening or a pilot hole may be helpful.

• Tool-free assembly—twist and slide the sections into place
• Step-on prongs let you use body weight to anchor the base quickly
• Works in loam, turf, and garden beds; softening very hard soil improves seating

What can I hang from this hook and where will it look best?

The FEED GARDEN shepherds hook is versatile: use it for hummingbird feeders, heavier bird feeders, potted hanging plants, lanterns for evening lighting, wedding blooms, wind chimes, or decorative accents along pathways. Its simple black metal finish and slim profile blend with many outdoor styles, making it suitable for formal flower beds and casual backyard corners alike.

• Hang hummingbird or mixed-seed bird feeders and suet cages
• Support hanging flower baskets or potted displays up to the rated weight
