Filtrete 16x25x5 Air Filter MERV 11 MPR 1000 — 2-Pack Pleated Electrostatic, 4.31in Thick

Filtrete 16x25x5 MPR 1000 (MERV 11) is a pleated electrostatic HVAC filter sold as a 2-pack that captures a wide range of household particles while fitting Lennox media air cleaners and systems requiring a 4.31-inch-thick filter.

This Filtrete furnace and AC filter, manufactured by 3M, uses the brand’s multi-layer filtration technology to trap microscopic and larger airborne matter while maintaining airflow for home heating and cooling systems. Each cartridge is labeled with its actual dimensions (15.63 x 24.74 x 4.31 inches) and designed for use up to 12 months depending on household conditions. Certified by GreenCircle for recycled content and recognized by independent asthma and allergy testing, this MPR 1000/MERV 11 option balances particle capture with system compatibility.

How does this filter improve indoor air quality?

The combination of MPR 1000 and MERV 11 ratings targets both fine and larger particles commonly found indoors. It pulls in pet hair residues, smoke byproducts, pollen, mold spores, and general household dust, reducing the number of particulates circulating through your HVAC system. The pleated electrostatic design increases surface area for trapping contaminants while permitting steady airflow.

• Captures microparticles including some 0.3–1 micron sizes per industry testing standards
• Traps larger debris such as lint and pollen on pleated media
• Designed to let adequate airflow through while collecting contaminants

Will this filter fit my Lennox or standard HVAC system?

Yes — this Filtrete product is intended to fit systems that accept thicker media filters; its actual thickness measures 4.31 inches, so confirm your unit supports that depth. The package is a two-filter set, each with the listed actual dimensions, making it suitable where the system calls for a 5-inch or larger filter slot. Always check your equipment manual for filter depth compatibility.

• Actual dimensions: 15.63 x 24.74 x 4.31 inches each
• Compatible with Lennox brand media air cleaners and many HVAC units that accept 4+ inch filters
• Sold as a convenient 2-pack for year-round coverage in many homes

How often should I replace these filters and how can I remember?

Filtrete recommends changing this thicker home HVAC filter at least once every 12 months under typical conditions, though high-usage households or those with pets may need more frequent replacements. For easier scheduling, the Filtrete Smart App offers reminders set to 90-, 180-, or 365-day intervals, helping you maintain peak performance and protect system efficiency. Inspect the filter periodically and replace sooner if visibly dirty or airflow is reduced.

• Standard guidance: replace at least once every 12 months
• Use Filtrete Smart App to set change reminders (iOS and Android)
• Check sooner in homes with pets, smokers, or heavy dust
